It's the end of the month and over due.
Hi folks, great information you have here . I have been waiting for this damn thing to be released for months. As a guy who has been using an Ipaq (w/ gps software)and separate phone it will be perfect for me. Especially the GPS. For the last month and a half HP has said by the end of July and today they just say sorry, we have nothing else to say. It has been on sale in the UK for a few weeks now but I didn't want to pay those prices over there. They did say it will be sold branded (crippled)Cingular and an unlocked version. If any of you travel out of the US the unlocked phones are easy to switch out the chip so you don't have to pay those crazy international roaming prices. T Mobile unlocks the phones after about 90 days ownership. Anyway HP is now saying it is any day now and will offer to take your email add. and notify you. Still ticks me off they are not holding to their last release date promise but it is their company. I wonder if it is Cingular that is holding up the show.

UPATE. As of today, and no surprise, the HW6900 release has been pushed to "the middle of August". You can get one now at many sites in the UK (6915) and they are asking about $750.00US. The only differences are the street maps are Europe Tom Tom and power plugs are of course those British monsters. You can buy US versions easy. Everything else is the same. I am still going to wait for the US version for another couple of weeks. Unlocked of course. BTW just about all the phones in the UK are unlocked so you don't get stuck with a service you don't want.
