So we get the first Cu500 in stock today in my store. and low and behold the memory card reader in it doesnt work!!!!! man now i have to wait for another one!!!
...
Funny thing (in retrospect) happened today for me too--I went to go put in the memory card for it in front of a guy who just bought our only one, and I got the card stuck in the phone....and he's just like 'If you break that you just bought it for me, buddy.'
Thing that got me mad was that he called me buddy. I'm not his buddy. Nor his pal.
Phones awesome so far, and the MP3's are freaking LOUD...but the speakerphones isn't....
...
I hate it when people call me buddy or sport or pal! another thing i found is that i cant seem to find out how to setup mp3 files as ringtones, it says "not acceptable content" no matter how small the file is. on my CU320 it would let you as long as the file was 600KB or smaller. but on the CU500 i have tried even a 112KB file and it still didnt work. this is the same unit that the memory card reader didnt work so it could just be the phone.
Is anyone else having this problem?

I think my memeory card is stuck inside as well. The phone reads it but there is no way for me to get it out without using some tweezers or something. Is this normal??

I actually haven't tried to take it out yet, but yes, when you put the card in, it goes in very deep. It may have a spring release, so try pushing it in first, if there is some give.
Otherwise tweezers may be indeed needed...
...
actually just take a pen or something like a penicil and push down gently on the card and slowly pull it out. thats y the guy at cingular told me and it works for me..
...
hey just a tip use the lip on the battery you have to take it off anyway just flip it over and push in on the card it works every time
...
very nice, had not even thought to try that.
very industrious of you.
...
the memory card is spring loaded....
just push it in more and it pops out to grab it

we can't get anything toet us transfer music to the card. help
...
What I had to do was transfer my music to the phone then go into the menu and move the music to the card. I still haven't found a way to transfer directly to the card.

put the microSD card in it's SD adapter, put it into your computer Or card reader, cut and paste all the mp3's you can fit onto the chip, put it back into the phone, YOU GOT TUNES!
...
