Pics it can hold

SO i just have a question. i just got a skiii. i went to camera and on highest resolution it says i can only take 3 pics, is this true?
Also if i gt a bigger memory card will i be able to have more.
if anyone knows i would enjoy the info

it only has 3 pic available because you need to save the pics to the memory card, not the phone memory. i had the same problem...
