I got the music essentials kit with the USB but Verizon won't allow me to use BitPim.
Anyone know of a third-party USB that charges the phone while it's plugged in and software works with Verizon?

When I first got my VX-8500 back in Sept. 2006, I was able to use BitPim to backup my phonebook, pictures, & videos; and also upload ringtones into my chocolate. I was able to do this as late as April 15, 2007. Unfortunately I lost my phone and when I got my replacement I was no longer able to upload or download using BitPim. I receive the message that my provider is blocking access. This blocking by Verizon is intended to get us to use their services for backup/download/upload/etc. I'm traveling ...
