Reception is different in every location. Mine has bad reception in certain areas and wonderful reception in others. It's not the phone.

I have no problem using my phone (I'm not using a Chocolate YET) with reception in my area,
but when I went to Chicago, the reception was really poor.
I think it really depends on the service provider, not the phone.
Of course, there might be some little differences for the phones,
but I think the main point is the service provider.
