chocolate vs. vx8300
which phone is better, and will give more bang for my buck, 200 bucks to be exact.

I think it depends on what you like....we just got both in our household, and I def prefer my chocolate over the husband's 8300. Honestly his 8300 feels a little light and flimsier than I'd like it to (and compared to my 7000). I like the phone to feel pretty solid, though I know lighter is probably preferred to most people.
The primary bang I've found so far that puts chocolate over the 8300 is the VZNavigator option. The 8300 doesn't have this yet, but I read that there is supposed to be an upgrade soon. It rocks and gets me off the need a GPS kick.
The 8300 speakers are comparable, I guess they're 'louder' but I wouldn't necessarily say 'better'. There's no speaker on a cell phone that's going to be a great quality speaker....

This is definitely untrue. I have been using VZ Navigator on my vx8300 since it came out for the VX8300 on June12th. Check getitnow on www.vzw.com
