SCP-8400 bug?
I bought three of these and they each have a problem. When receiving a call and answering by using the flip open to answer feature, there is a 3-4 second delay before the caller's conversation is connected the the earpiece of the 8400. That is, we flip open the phone and say hello and place phone to our ears and there is no sound for 3-4 seconds and then the sound is heard but we have missed some of the caller's conversation. This does not happen if disable the flip open to answer feature and select the press TALK button or any other button to answer feature. Very annoying! Anyone else experience this problem?

Yes, it does this on mine too, I just got used to taking a breath before saying hello. It sounds more more professional too. My wife has this issue on her 8100 flip too, so it might be a sanyo-flip thing, not just the 8400. I'm not to bothered by it though, it's not as annoying as the ring for 30 seconds then send to voicemail, when it takes 20 seconds for the network to locate which tower your handset is on. (which means 10 seconds of ringing or less before you've missed the call). Sprint problem, not sanyo though.

I've had the 8100, 8200, 8300, and now the 8400 from Sanyo and they all do this. Just get used to it taking a second for it to connect. Never been an issue to me...

My 9000 has the same pause. You have to wait about a second.

It's not a bug, it's a safety feature to make sure you don't hang up on someone. If you pop it open and it closes on you quickly, on every other phone it will hang up on the person. It's a good idea.

I have my phone set to flip to answer and I haven't noticed any problem. I had the Sanyo 7300 before this one and this one behaves exactly the same.
