As far as battery life, is it better to charge the phone:

1) When the battery is completely drained?
2) With the phone off or on?

Thanks in advance for your reply.

um... I don't know about the enV... but generally... from what I've heard... its better to let the battery drain... it gives it a "full" charge instead of charging it every night... where it will only charge the part that you used and the part you didn't... eventually goes "stale"

I don't know how true it is... but I heard it makes your battery weaker by charging it every night...

As for the on or off... I don't know if that makes much of a difference...

lithium batterires don't have the old annoying battery memory that nichelmetal hydrate batteries had back in the day. The best way to look at your battery life is this. We will just say your battery will take 400 battery cycles. So if you charge it every day your battery capacity will greatly be less in 400 days. If you charge more than once a day then even quicker. You basically get so many charge cycles, so if you waite until it goes dead you will charge it less often thus allowing you to have it longer before using all of your charge cycles. I charge mine every night because I could care less, but if you are worried about buying a battery in 12-18 months then charge it every other day and it will probably last two years and still be able ...

yeah... he's right... I have a VX7000 and my contract is up in two days... I've had my phone for Two Years and Two Months (Added IN texting two months after signing ☚ī¸ ) and I charge mine about every four days... still lasts that long... same as when I first got the phone... and I text a lot... and I talk on the phone a bit... but not as much as I text 😛

thats not true. lithium battery companies pridem themselves on saying that the batteries have no "memory' effect. but its just not true. every rechargable battery has memory effect. maybe its not as bad, but its there.

to answer your question, . i would wait until it was totally dead, but then i would end up with a dead phone when i dont want it, so i i wait until my phone has 1/2 or less of its abttery life left before i charge..
