Does anyone have a problem with other people hearing you during a conversation?

I've been having this problem since I pretty much brought the phone back in December, but I thought that's how the phone was, until someone told me that bad microphones are common out of the box.

People tell me that it kinda sounds like I'm holding my hand over the mic or something and/or my voice sounds muffled! Also, other people are sometimes not understanding what I'm saying. Several times in the convo, the person on the other end is constantly saying, "huh?", "what?!", etc. Keep in mind, that I have only dropped this phone once, but it was a minor drop, so that has nothing to do with it.

Meanwhile, I know someone who has the LG9800 (the previous mod...

Have you tried having someone else call you using your phone, so you can hear it for yourself? 👀 Your friends shouldn't have to put up with that. 🙄 Exchange it for a new one. 😁

I've actually called my voicemail at work & left myself a test message from my phone & heard it for myself. I understood most of what I said, but for some of the words, I couldn't make out. I had to repeat the message a few times and I still couldn't make out some of the things that I said.

Hmm, sounds like you have a good case for a replacement phone. Just bring it into a store and show them the problem. 😳
Good luck!

Even though I have insurance on the phone, would I need to bring the box & receipt with me, even though it's been over 30 days?

nope, all you need to bring is the phone itself.
If you make an insurance claim, they will probably try to charge you the $50. What you want to do is to explain to them that the phone has acted like this from the beginning and it is not a result of something you did. 👀
Good Luck!

Would VZ really charge you $50 for a replacement phone even if you are within the 1 year mfg warranty? If so, what is the purpose of getting insurance in the first year then? (other than having protection from a lost/stolen phone)

Oh yeah. I totally forgot about the first year free VZW replacement. 👀
I guess the $5 a month insurance is good if you are planning on getting the phone wet. I think Assurion will accept claims for water damaged phones. 🙄
