Echo

I got this phone last week and every time I spoke into it, I could slightly hear my voice in my ear. It wasn't like a normal echo that you hear on most phones from time to time, but it was more like as soon as I spoke I could hear myself. I figured I must have just gotten a defected one, and they all couldn't be like that, so I exchanged it for another one and the new one is doing the same thing. Does anyone else have this problem with the LG 8600?

I'm surprised they actually exchanged it.

I'm guessing it's 'sidetone' so you can hear how you sound/are still connected.
It's a very desireable benefit that Motorola's have. Something those of us who know what full duplex two way radio is, appreciate. If you no longer can hear your sidetone, you know your call got dropped and aren't talking into dead air.

I guess I should go to a store and try one out!

I just got the 8600 and I am experiencing the same problem. I think the phone is like that, it will probably take some time to get used to.
