Another reason for the need for a S/W upgrade....

Today, just after I got off a call, my phone went dead! The battery was COMPLETELY out! I had NO indication that the battery was about to die. According to the battery level, I had one bar left. My previous LG's at least beeped and the battery symbol flashed when it was on it's last "leg". This happened right as I was walking into the Verizon Wireless store to talk about the missing "cover" on the port on the back of the phone. The store rep told me she had several complaints on this but it's the first time I'm hearing about it. She ended up replacing the phone entirely, which I'm greatful for. We'll see if it happens again on the new phone.

Anyone else experiencing this problem? ☹️

Just a thought.
1)How many full cycles have you run the battery?
(Or was this the first full discharge?)
I have found that most LiIon batteries increase their capacity substantially after 4-5 full charge/discharge cycles.

I would have guessed that when the battery has 'one bar' of voltage, what ever that was, it was being depleated quickly, (near it's voltage 'knee', especially if it was it's first charge cycle)and the zero bar 'beep' never had a chance to start before the phone shut off.

Let us know what happens with the new phone, and did you get a new battery.
If the same, try fully charging it and fully discharging it. I'd almost guess the problem would go away after a few cycles.
Maybe not! Inquiring minds would like to know...

Gee, you might want to return your phone for another. Today mine was low (I knew this--was waiting for it to "die" to charge it for this first time). But I received ample warnings from my phone--flashed on and beeped the "battery low" about 5 times.
Hmmmm.
Good luck with yours, though!

Thanks for letting me know. I did exchange it just today. I'm sure it was a defective phone.
(see previous response.)
