Most Excellent
Great Phone..mine has no issues ..
Well except that i dropped it on the 3rd day of owning it just some dings LOL works great!!!!!

Incredible phone!
I have currently owned this phone for about a week and I am astonished at how well built it is. Maybe its just because the last phone I had was a Samsung X426, which i would never recommend buying, so i guess i can be easily impressed by any good phone. I have seen many of my friends phones and I still think this one is the best out of them.
Pros:
- Very good reception even indoors while in the hills.
- Very good looking.
- Small but comfortable.
- Very high quality camera for a phone, and not bad video.
- Fairly easy to use, but it takes a little while to get adjusted to.
- Contacts list very nice.
- Very clear microphone and speaker.
- The outside screen very helpful to check the time or who is calling etc.
Cons:
- Antenna hard to pull up.
- Should come in more colors.
- Flash is weak.
- Ringer volume low.
- Vibrate weak.
- There is a vibrate/ring mode, but the volume for the ring is extremely low on that and the vibrate only vibrates once, which is pretty worthless. It should do both at once and have the option of higher volume.
Non-phone related notes:
- The Get-it-Now thing is weird, to download any ring tone you have to pay for it in advance, but after you subscribe to it you get to preview ring tone which is helpful, although any time on Get-it-Now takes off from your minutes, which is bad.
Notes:
- Overall, this is a great phone. Fairly easy to use, and very nice. I would highly recommend buying one.

Good looks, still lacking in some areas
Pros:
-The phone looks great. I like its color, size and design.
-The screen is nice.
Cons:
-Some of the problems with the user interface have not been fixed, mostly relating to the working of the phonebook. Two big problems are:
1) You cannot enter the same number twice, under two different phone book entries. I have two different friends that work at the same office, but I am unable to enter that number as a work number for both of them.
2) You cannot set two numbers under one listing as a speed dial. For example, I cannot have both my boyfriend's mobile number and office number set as a speed dial. The only way to get around this is to take out his work number from the memory and then create a separate entry for his work. To me, this is inconvienient.
The cons I have listed for this phone seem to be consistent to Samsung, and after owning an LG, I find them pretty annoying. Too bad the looks and feel of the Samsung can't be combined with the wonderful interface of an LG.

had 3
1. the phone was dead out of the box, never did turn on just charged. Verizon replaced.
2. The phone stopped charging
3. The phone was barely dropped like 1 foot to the ground the screen stopped working and the hinge broke
i hated this phone i dont underastand how they crack away this much. i got a a950 after this

Great phone!
This phone wasn't my first phone, but I did have to use it after my first one broke. Even though it was already almost 5 years old, the battery life was amazing. It gone thrown at a wall once (oops) and still survived, and has gone through two other owners brutalizing it.
This phone can really go through anything.
Although recently the battery got shot, and even though it can be fully charger it will just randomly turn off. I guess that's because it's so old.
I would still recommend this phone!

text fonts
i have this phone and i changed the font size of the text msgs some how? and now they are on large and i need to change them back to normal. how do i do this? i read the whole manual and even called customer service and they think I'm crazy cause they don't know how to fix it? CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME!!!!

samsung sch a670 sucks
hi i own this phone and I'm under telus right now.
PROS
good looks
CONS
camera sucks
no blue tooth
video isn't there
ITS BORING!
I'm getting the htc touch soon this September 2008 lol

I am so glad I am getting an upgrade!
Cons: I found it really annoying that there was no snooze alarm on the phone, so if I wanted to "sleep longer" I had to totally reset the alarm.
There are hardly any ring tones to choose from.
Not very much memory. I had to keep deleting things so I could add something new for example if I want to put anything in the planner I had to delete previous entries.
The pics are hard to see and look pixilated.
The vibration feature isn't very strong. I missed a lot of calls.
It's difficult to change the sound setting on pix and text messages so I just kept it on vibrate.
External antenna.
Pros: Durable, I dropped it a few times.
Reasonable battery life.
The camera isn't bad for a free phone.

Good Rugged Phone
My husband and I both have had our 670 for about 22 months now. We love them. They are very sturdy and rugged.
Pro:
Battery life lasts 2-3 days with use.
Decent camera (for a phone)
Can have several numbers under one listing
Like being able to sort #'s in several different ways.
Con:
Customized ring tones do not sound very good
Doesn't have very loud ring tones
No speaker phone
If you call someone and they don't answer, to try their other #'s, you have to go back into your phone book and scroll down to other #'s.
Can't have 2 #'s listed in an entry as same type-for example, can't have 2 cell #'s for same entry.

Problems
My wife and I both got A670s a few months ago from Metro PCS in Atlanta. Both phones started losing charge rapidly a few weeks back, indicating "Charging" when it is not and draining the battery within hours. Sometimes the phones would charge and sometimes not. Now nothing charges and nothing works.
We reported it to Metro PCS and were told that, since the phones showed wear (independent - I am a CEO and my wife a graphic 3-d animator and our phone usage and environment have very little in common) even though the phones did not come in a protective cover and are due to show wear and tear, they would not replace them. We contacted Samsung and are awaiting resolution.
