THE BEST PHONE
This phone is by far the best phone that Verizon has out right now. It is sleek, thin, great reception, features are amazing and fast. The only thing that I do not like is the battery and the fingerprints on the front. Either a leather case or a faceplate will take care of that issue. A few others have complained about it, but if that is the least of my worries then I am extremely happy. That is the reason I got a car charger :) I highly recommend this phone to anyone that is wanting a fantastic phone for either a brand new purchase or upgrade. You won't be disappointed!
EXCELLENT!!
I LOVE this phone - By far the best phone i have ever owned. It's service is outstanding - The sleek slim design is just so attractive, and i HATE thin phones, but this one has converted me. EVDO is EXTREMLEY on point (very fast) Excellent call quality, VERY user friendly & interactive. I straight up recommend this phone.

For some reason every Motorola blue-tooth headset I've tried eventually just doesn't work.
BATTERY LIFE!!! NOT the best..
MP3 Player could be louder
Not enough default customization options (However this is 1st gen, I'm sure it will be improved)
Battery life is my main complaint - VERY disappointed My NEXTEL lasts 3 days without a charge, this one lasts maybe 23 hours after a full charge even after a battery re-set
OVERALL:
Phone is excellent takes some getting used to but it is very nice once your used to how it functions, and is very user friendly, simple, yet in depth where it needs to be - VERY IMPRESSED!!!
ABSOLUTELY DESTROYS THE RAZOR, KRAZOR, OR ANY OTHER THIN PHONE ON THE MARKET.

I upgraded to this phone two months ago from the LG 8300. Best thing I ever did. I had to get a new one last month. It kept dropping my calls. Got love the 1 year warranty. With the new one no dropped calls. So I guess the fist one was a fluke.
Pros
I love how it fits on the side of my purse and pockets.
The key pad is easy to get use to.
Takes good pictures and video.
I brought a SD card and used it for music which is a plus!
Easy to use the blue tooth

FANTASTIC, SEAK & MODERN,
This LG VX8600 is awesome!!!! I am a Verizon Wireless customer. It is truly my mobile office. Not only is it a phone but my GPS to get me on business. Blazing fast internet connection sometimes as fast as 2 mb a second depending on area and time of day. Easy file transfer via bluetooth. Not to forget my MP3 player as well, but does not beat my iPod. All I can say it's a lot of phone in a little package. It has a sleek design that I can not feel in my pocket, no bulk at all.
The ear piece on the phone is crystal clear and can get reception in areas where other Verison phones go dead for a brief second. Not a dropped call yet and have had it for a few months now.
If you are into technology packed phones this is for you. I have not regretted choosing it yet. When people see what is does they are amazed!!!

This phone has the greatest features list i've ever heard of. It feels great when you're holding it, you can easily show this sleek shiny phone off in public. With this phone you'll be so happy whipping it out in public, and not to metion it has great volume on the music player. Also another great feature is the camera.
Cons - buttons aren't the easitest thing to push but you get used to it.
The speaker phone is loud but doesn't work with phone calls.
I love this phone and am going to stick with the lg chocolate flip for a long time.
Totally enjoying this phone
I am really enjoying this phone. Call quality is really clear. I have had people surprised I was on a cell. It's lightweight and easy to use, I love that. The shiny black finish is cool too!

I am sure glad I got this phone. All the important stuff I need in a phone have superseded my standards i.e. lightwieght, reception, call quality, battery life, speakerphone. Plus it's so slim and looks so sleek in shiny black, I love it!!
Lookin' good with the 8600
I just got my 8600 after a moto razr. I am really enjoying this phone!
Pros:
-super battery life compared to other vz handsets (blows away the chocolate on this one)
-lightweight, overall good "feel" in my hand, both open and closed
-solid feature set
-strong viberate
-I know the other reviews didn't like the speakerphone, but I thought it decent enough to be usable.
-EZ TIP CALC
-beautiful screens, ability to read text messages from outer screen w/out opening flip.
Not too many "cons," or at least none big enough to me to write about it. Yes, the outside is prone fingerpriting, but really not bad enough, or as bad as I was lead to believe from other reviews.
If you are on the edge about this phone, I'd say go for it, it's definitely a winner. Plus, if there are any girly girls like me reading this review, please don't think that this phone is to "guyish" b/c it's black. Yes, I love my pink razr, but this is also very sexy in the shiny black, kind of like an all-black Mercedes. Please also consider over the chocolate (also a very cute phone), just for the battery life alone. You get 3-4 low batt warnings on the 8600 before you power down, the chocolate only gave me 2 and it was goodbye!
Overall a very solid performer, sleek and light weight! Go for it!

Pretty good phone. It looks like there is vacant verticle space on the keypad, you know what I'm talking about. Why did they do that when buttons are cramped and flat enough as it is. Should have crunched that space to make it a bit wider. 2nd, LG should keep the same front buttons as the VX8100 that way u don't have to "press any key" duh. 3rd headpiece volume control on the top flip side make it a pain in the arce to adjust volume while on a call. Besides that good phone nice and comfy on the face for long convos with your loved one... nothing special promise.
