Not all its cracked-up to be!
After reading numerous positive opinions and reviews about this phone, I set-out to my local Sprint Store to purchase this phone. While in the store, I made several calls on this model to Sprints' automated CS line. The call reception on this phone was loud and sharp, but considerably on the muffled side. It sounded a bit like listening through a tin can. I inquired to the sales rep. if he had heard any other opinions about what I was speaking about. His reply was that maybe I got a bad cell or something. Every subsequent call sounded the same on this phone.
So, thinking that maybe Sprint just had a bad phone in the store, I set-out to another Sprint Store to again attempt to find a better working model of the RL2500. After using the other stores model for several attempted calls, I came to the conclusion that something in this phones earpiece just doesn't sound up to par.
Overall, this is a beautiful phone, and the reception was loud and strong. However, the continued "muffled" sound is an absolute DEAL BREAKER for me. My old Qualcomm 2700 sounds better than this phone, so I'm in a wait and see mode for a phone upgrade right now. The other Sanyo models DID sound better, as did the Samsung's. Anyone else notice this?

great, but a fatal flaw
Used with Sprint in KC, Lawrence, and Topeka KS.
Excellent:(pros)
1. Speaker phone, used open or closed.
2. Voice Recognition, used open or closed
3. Color Screen clarity main and sub.
4. Menu options and ease of use.
5. Signal level.
Disaster: (cons)
1. incoming sound quality when used as a pone. Worst I have ever heard - very, very, frustrating with so many other good features and performance.
Ready-Link (Push To Talk): great loud sound so if you enjoy loud, one way at a time conversations with a 3-5 second delay, you'll love it.
Sized larger than Sanyo 8100, but smaller than Sanyo 5300, very sleek with good feel.
Excellent, as long as you don't want to use it as a phone!!!
