Almost like the LG vx8100
Phone has all the same features as LG VX81000.
Pros Both:
Bluetooth
Expansion slot
Speakerphone
Vcast
Ev-do
Mp3 Player
1.3 megapixel camera
Moto Better:
Speaker phone is clearer but not as loud
Looks better than the LG VX8100 (but this is all personal preference)
Reception is a little better equal to the audiovox 8940.
LG vx8100 Better:
Speaker phone is louder but not as clear.
Camera quality and picture seems 10xs better you can actually use these pictures to make pictures.
Play buttons on the outside for mp3s.
Less costly
Sd mini card is cheaper than the transflash.
Its a close race between these two but i still like the LGvx 8100 better.

Best Phone I've Seen
I bought this phone and a one-year Verizon contract because I came to visit the US on a work visa for a year. The rumours were that Verizon had the best service, and I think they were totally true - my friends who have cingular don't have it as well.
This thing is great - it's a wonderful phone. I wish that Vodafone had this one -it's amazing. I love how the VCAST works, I've never seen anything like it before.
The colour displays are great, especially the interior one. I don't like the outside one as much but it does its job. The battery life is good, but I think my phone I use at home gets better. I got this phone after making the mistake of buying an LG VX8100. It's fantastic.
Pros:
Great call volume
Great reception
screens
camera
speakerphone
vcast
Cons:
vibrate a bit weak
i can't bring it home to the UK with me.

loving this one
i love this phone. it is better than my t720 whatever it was by a lot. verizon still gets gerat service. the most important thing ot me is battery life and reception and i get great ratings on both of those. i like the camera, but it's kind of ... well it's a phone. haha.
my friend has the expansion card and she has lots of pics on hers and she thinks that is awesome and i do too. big fan, actually.
phone is super overall. not as small as id like but hey, it's just great. nothing i can complain about. at all.

Overall great phone
Overall this is by far one of the best Verizon phones I have ever had. (and I've had lots...moto 720, samsung 530, lg6000, samsung 670, lg 7000, lg 4500, lg 6100, moto 265, moto 710, and now moto e815) This phone has great reception. Great options, a lot of features, great bluetooth.
PROS:
speakers very loud
great large outer/inside screen
great camera
great video
fun wallpapers
CONS:
can't send voice with pix messages
freezes a lot for several seconds

i love it
i really do love the E815 after a day with it although i wish it was a lot smaller. I don't know if this phone will last only because it is so large but i have 15 days to check it out and see if its for me. I love the large screen with a great camera/video recorder but wish everything was just a little easier to navigate. I graduated from the vx6000 which was extremely out of date but surprisingly still better than some of the newer LG's. I would like to get the small samsung if this moto doesn't work out well.
I have been loving the signal from verizon in New york city and in parts of connecticut but wish there was v cast up there.

Motorola E815-VZW
This the first motorola I have owned in years-avoided due to poor battery life)
Was using a lg 6100 which was really a pretty good phone--the usual signal comments are about right.
Pros
Phone has so many features, I haven't explored many of-them, but as far as making calls, holding signal, not dropping calls, battery life, appearance, screen, all are as good as I have ever had.
Cons: None:
I am not smart enough to know what they are yet.

New Age Moto
Pros
- Upgrade to Previous Moto
- Camera & Video
- Bluetooth
- Large LCD
- VCAST
- Sleek Design & Size
- Multiple High-End Features
Cons
- Glitches & Bugs
- Call Quality Questionable
Bottom Line: This new Motorola comes with everything. It has all the basic features a user can ask for and more. For some people it might be too many features. Using Verizon's new technology, this phone comes with the VCAST capabilities for a staggering price of $15. Knowing Motorola this phone will have a few bugs here and there. This phone is for the people who need the newest phones with the newest technology.

Stay Away
Really...terrible. Embarassing even.
Had one, exchanged for another, both had problems.
Loose hinges, terrible screen quality (looked faded on both), echo noise when talking, no VCast on one of them, aeshetically un-appealing, MOTOROLA. Stay Away.

e815 move over...lg 8100 outperforms
I have utilized both phones and I must say, is motorola ever going to build anything that doesn't feel like a child's toy?
Comparison: Based on 2 weeks of tests...
(averaged 750 minutes of use on each phone)
e815 lg8100
construction plastic feeling rigid
sound quality fades,low loud
reception subjective subjective
keypad laminate peels nice clicks
resolution about the same " "
features mediocre tons
design skinny&boxy pitbull-lk
speaker-phone mid to loud too loud
vibrate is their one? exceptional
mp3 unk (can't say) crippled
camera good res good res
battery-life poor marks(1-2) 3-4 days
intuitive comm not so much easy
