I just want a huge touchscreen,tv,stereo speakers and i'm set. Vcast already has e-mail,songID,browsing,3D games,downloads. Now that Verizon UI is Flash lite and OBEX is no longer crippled,well 95% at least...i can't wait. Now if it only has a Vcast lazer to zap any iphones i see,lol.

That's a freakin awesome phone.... I see that it's touch screen but will it have the same basic features as a PDA? Full internet access and touch screen as in... I can use it as a scheduler by writing on the tablet? Or is this an extremely cool yet 'basic' phone?

no, my understaning is this is the update to the 9900, so I would say the features would be sinmilar, but they should be adding the tv service to it.

Have you ever used a RAZR? The text limit is past 50. It slows the phone way down. And when you do finally decide to erase your inbox/outbox, it takes forever to delete. I'm not saying that I don't get irritated with the 50 limit, but I think the tradeoff, of having a phone that runs like it should, and not with a Motorola lag, is worth it.

but thats the point...you should be able to make a phone that has a high limit without slowing the phone down. The technology is there.

I think the main thing is this is not a smartphone, so of course its not a direct comparison to the iPhone. But, everything with a touch-screen now-a-day seem to be under the microscope for is iPhone-killer qualities. The EnV and the Chocolate style phones have been out way before the iPhone and they both BIG sellers. Just think of them as an next gen upgrade instead of an iPhone killer. If you are looking for a iPhone killer... look toward HTC, I doubt Moto and LG will make anything that will directly compete with it.
Personally... I rather have the 10,000.

It's really not even that nice of a phone when it comes to features. The only thing that sets it apart from any other upper-mid range phone is the user interface and the web browser. That's all it has going for it.

Those look like pictures of two different phones - the slider seems to be in the same place as the flip, which would be physically impossible.
I'd imagine the slider is the VX8800 and the flip is the VX10000, though I'm really not convinced that they'd release something so similar to the enV with a revolutionary number like VX10000 - I'd expect VX9950 (like the new Chocolate) for such a small revision.

They are two different phones. The 10000 and the 8900 which replaces the 8550.

I agree. I really like this new design the have. The last model of the enV is just hideous. I had the first model a couple of years ago and it was bulky but attractive.

I would wait and see if the 'Voyager', formerly the 'X' is going to have a special data plan or if there will even be any data plan since its going to have a FULL HTML browser. This is the first Verizon cell phone to have this so who knows. I'm getting the Voyager cuz it looks like the KU990 and Prada, its touchscreen, html browser,TV for Gods sake. A historic phone, the Iphone killer.
