i have a vx8600 but the charger port is messed up on it, but im usin a vx8100 right now, is there anyway i can get my 8600 replaced so i can use it instead?

seriously doubt it since its customer damaged, it wont fall under "manuf defect"

Thats a hard one on that model. I see it quite a bit. Ive seen them warrantied several times.

But ive also seen them have to do an insurance claim since they wont always swap them out.

thats what i mean, but its not the phone that im usin right now, i didnt know if they would let me file a claim on it or not?

Actually, the VZW Tech Bulletins currently have a listing for Damaged Data (charger) ports.

Phones that the metal dataport guide has broken off of can be exchanged for a FRU (warranty replacement), but are charged the $50.00 out of warranty fee since the issue is considered customer abuse.
