Ring in the New Year with "Service Busy"! Yay!
Anyone else have problems with Verizon's service New Year's Eve? From midnight till about 2am I couldn't make a call if my life depended on it. My first 6 calls or so were met with "call dropped", and my last 20 or so calls were greeted with "Service Busy". I was a bit surprised (but by no means astonished...everyone in America was on their cell phone at the time), especially when I was able to borrow a friend's Cingular phone (Samsung s307) and make all my calls with no problems.

I had the same problem in here in NYC...Once again the nations best celluar provider messes up again... 😁

I have Verizon. In Phoenix we were able to send/receive 40 or so text messages and make 10 or so calls.

No problems whatsoever in Jacksonville Fl. I was texting and calling with no problems and I was at the beach, which (I've heard it's a weird area, tides)

I had the same problem. My friend with T-Mobile had the same problem. All it said was call droped or call failed and if you tried calling from a landline phone my phone was busy

I made tons of calls (VZW) with no problems.
Oh wait, i couldnt get through to Romania when it was midnight there, but that wasnt a VZW issue....
