Motorola Timeport 270c not seeing its Bluetooth module
I purchased a Timeport 270c via eBay. It was claimed that the phone is a Verizon phone, and when I called Verizon before the purchase and gave them the ESN, they said they would have no problem activating it.
I got the phone, it activated just fine and works well (LOVE the speakerphone!). The only problem I have is that when I slide the Bluetooth module (eBay from a different seller) onto it, the "Bluetooth Link" menu item does not show up under the Settings > Connection menu as it should according to the Bluetooth module manual.
The phone does not have any Verizon logo on it. It only has a Motorola logo at the bottom of the face plate. I do not know if it should have a Verizon logo, I am just assuming it would, nor do I know...

To wit, the wireless industries' customer satisfaction scores were comparable to such wretched things as cable companies and HMOs.
Thought provoking stuff. Apparently, ALL the carriers still have a LOT of work to do. That's really the message that should be taken from the CR survey.
Statement from Bluetooth SIG about the Verizon V710
"The Bluetooth SIG is very disappointed in this (Verizon's) implementation decision and believes many consumers who purchased this (the V710) phone for the Bluetooth capabilities are frustrated and confused as a result," said Michael Foley, the group's executive director. "Users have realistic expectations that Bluetooth-enabled mobile phones will work with their other Bluetooth-enabled devices including cars, headsets, PCs, printers, PDAs etc. While we on the technical side understand that certain profiles must be implemented to enable various usage scenarios, we shouldn't expect consumers, for example, to realize their phone does not have...

This is Verizon agenda:
- Lie

- "Sucky" customer service
- Cheap & retarted phones
- Make thier customers life a living "hell"

This is T-Mobile's agenda:
- Great customer service
- Good & useful phones
- Great coverage where they have it
- Actually planning on expanding thier coverage
- Afordable rate planes
- Help their customers in every way possible
- Actually go by thier moto "Get More"
Verizon or Cingular??? Which 1 is best?
I will be moving out of Syracuse, NY and dont know where I will be moving exactly ..could be to California and dont know which carrier best works there.
My preferences in choosing Cingular or Verizon will be based on the following:
1st priority: Coverage and service
2nd priority: decent phones (not a camera but something with speakerphone)
3rd priority: customer service (I have heard that Cingular reps are rude and dont help...

Verizon Phones
Ok, I have Verizon, and the service is spectacular, BUT the phoes are horrible and no compareson to other carriers phones (ie sony errison/nokia). Does any one have a clue to when their phones are going to step it up and start incorpertating some cool trendy models. What I hate about Verizon phoes: 1) they are all big 2) they are all chucky and dont fit comfotable in pockets 3) my friend has a new sony erricson and the game graphics are comparable to xbox or play station, verizon cant compare,
4) all phoes look alike
- I just dont get it, why wont they pick of Nokia or some better looking phones. ITs to the point that I hate there phones so much, i may swith carriers to get a cooler phone.
Can someone please tell me that veriz...

Verizon bailed on Bluetooth V710?
All of the forums at HoFo and V710.org are shutting down at the end of the month.
Lacking support from Motorola, Verizon and now the pressure on the user groups from them, and probably lawyers, looks like massive bailout for those with new cars with need for cell phone integration?
question????
