cool...phone call from VZW CEO's office

I recently filed a suggestion at planetfeedback to VZW suggesting that they make an Lg bluetooth phone. (I already know about the 8100, but I felt like doing this anyway to show that there's interest). Anyways I included my petition (in my sig).
I wasn't even expecting them to respond.
I get a call today from the CEO's office and they want me to call them back and talk about the suggestion
Go VZW 🙂

I've moved - can I port my number if I buy new phone in old city?

I moved from Boston to Birmingham AL, and also managed to port from Verizon to Sprint just before I moved.

Well, it's a year later, and I would really like to keep my number.

And frankly, I really miss Verizon's network and service.

But I was told at the local Birmingham Verizon store that they couldn't port me back, because they can't port 617 numbers.

They said they thought I might be able to port back via the 800 number, but I'm skeptical. Besides, theren't aren't many deals to be had calling Verizon for a new phone.

My question - I'll be back in Boston on business soon. Do you think I could port my 617 number back from Sprint to Verizon, if I purchase my new phone in Boston, from an area code 617 Verizon Wireless retailer?...

NE2 and new contract

My 2year contract is over, and I am eligible
for a NE2 equipment upgrade. I am currently
on a LDC plan, but will be spending a lot
of time outside of my home area in the next
half a year, so I am thinking of signing up
for a new 2 year contract on an AC plan.
However verizon doesn't currently offer
any phones I would like to upgrade to (I am still
using timeport 8767). Question: can I renew
my contract now and upgrade in a couple of months
using NE2, or does verizon require both things
done at the same time? Thanks.

call connect issue?

I'm actually posting this for a friend and fellow co-worker of mine. She has an LG VX-6000 ( I believe- it was ya'lls first camera phone) Anyway...we were sitting there tonight and we were so dead it wasn't funny. (dead meaning not busy lol). I was just looking at her phone because I Was bored and she said something was wrong with it, so I asked her what and she said she can't get through to voice mail...so we played around with it a bit, dialed "1", then "*86"...Full signal, said 1x next to it but the call just wouldn't go through, continuously said "connecting". All her other calls were fine she said...Though I work for a wireless company, I wouldn't know where to begin troubleshooting a VZW phone...any help please??

native network vs. leased

How can I tell if my particular area is using a native network vs. a leased network and should it matter to me?

How am I negatively affected if VZW leased their entire network?

Crappy new Verizon plans.

"Can you hear me now? We are now offering lower granularity on our plans, and for some local markets (MS), you get less minutes for your money. Our strategy to keep customers from going to Cingular is to take away some of their choices"

To change plans or not to change...

I signed a 2 year deal with Verizon in Sept., 600 minutes for $39.99 local digital choice plus $5 a month for long distance. I'm a law student so the local plan appealed to me s I'll be going to school in-state for the next 3 years. My cell phone is my only phone so I wanted the extra minutes but I've never even come close to using more than peak 400 minutes. (thank goodness for IN and Free nights and weekends)

I'm considering a move to America's Choice program $39 plan because once or twice a year I do leave the state (for example heading out west for a week this summer) and it's possible I may do an out-of-state internship the following summer.

On one hand, it would be nice not to have to worry about roaming for the rare occasion I ...

why are verizon retailers so sketchy??

sketchy MAY not be the exact word i was looking for...but anyway. i know the LG VX8000 is being released on feb. 1st. every verizon retailer i go to says "i have no clue" when i ask when theyll be getting it. i only know about the release date from the internet, but are they being so misleading because they want you to buy a phone THAT day so they can get commission so you dont wait another 3 days for the phone to come out, or do the phones just randomly arrive at the stores on any given day after the release date with no prior notice? i figure they HAVE to know something since they work in the store...

A little help Needed from my fellow experts...

OK so i got an even exchange worked out to move from the 710 to one of the up and coming "V-Cast" handsets. I would most likely go with the LG, Yet the audiovox (or VERIZON WIRELESS" 8940?? looks pretty nice as well and in my time audiovox has been great phones. Samsung well just doesn' appeal to me, yet samsung is a great phone as well. At the same time my 710 has ben great, i do like having a "WORKING" camera though. I can live with out BT, but the 710 has been solid. Can you please shoot me some reccommendations, 1.) Stay with 710 wait for PTT possibly, 2.) Go LG, 3.) Go Audiovox, 4.) Go Sammy
