For Crying Out Loud!!!!!!!

Ok guys all this crap and law suit and Verizon sucks for disabling the Bluetooth on the 710 is silly. Think about it from a business stand point, all these carriers are in this business to make money, thats why everyone works for a living, to make money, if everyone could share their downloaded ringers and games with everyone else profits would drop like a rock. Why would a company shoot themselves in the foot and give everyone a reason to not pay for a connection kit or ringers or games or picture messaging?

This boils down to the customer wanting everything for free and getting everything handed to them on a silver platter. This country is way too pampered and takes everything for granted. Another good example is that VZW has devices ...

I think this is funny.

I'm not with Verizon or anything, but my cousin recently switched from Nextel to Verizon, and they gave him $50 off of his phone (Moto V710) for switching from Nextel. Not for switching to them from any other carrier, but just because he was switching from Nextel lol. I think that's pretty cool and funny. 🤣

Are Nextel and Verizon two bulls locking horns or something? Has anyone else had an experience like this?

Issues with Verizon

I am currently having major issues with Verizon. Let me give you guys some background; I signed up in January 2004 with the lg 6000 (ok phone had some some minor issues with the screen)…anyway swapped that out twice…..after a few months of using that phone I lost it. Luckily a buddy of mine had an extra Samsung a530 9another decent phone but also had problems with the screen blacking out (swapped twice), the second time they did not have it in a local store so I told them to mail it to me…when I received the phone, the speaker did not work…back to the verizon store…woo hooo….this time they gave me a brand new unopened lg vx45000 which was pretty happy with…until…I had no service where other verizon phones were getting min 2 bars….so instead ...

Wow - Lexus cars infected via Bluetooth

Mobile virus infects Lexus cars
by David Quainton

Lexus cars may be vulnerable to viruses that infect them via mobile phones. Landcruiser 100 models LX470 and LS430 have been discovered with infected operating systems that transfer within a range of 15 feet.

"If infected mobile devices are scary, just thinking about an infected onboard computer..," said Eugene Kaspersky, head of anti-virus research at Russian firm Kaspersky. "We do know that car manufacturers are integrating existing operating systems into their onboard computers (take the Fiat and Microsoft deal, for instance)."

It is understood the virus could affect the navigation system of the Lexus models, it transfers onto them via a Bluetooth mobile phone connection. It is s...

phone for colorado, utah and wyoming

I am looking for a solid reception tri-mode phone for the three state region.

I do not require bluetooth.

I do require solid performance in reception, high quality speaker (including speakerphone), voice dialing, contact transfer.

I would like a reasonable camera (video clip a bonus).

I know the phone is not a camera but by now I expect that they have improved their images.

Very good battery life.

Exterior picture screen.

any ideas for any existing phones or in the immediate VZW hopper?

I have been very happy with my Startac 7868

The audiovox 8910 reviews are mixed in some respects.

I would like to hear more from those who have the LG-VX6100 with the updated software to learn if the little quirks have...

Question About vx7000

Hello. I need to know if the vx7000 will be discontinued to make way for the 8000 or if the price will just drop lower. I need to know ASAP because I don't want to miss out on getting one if they discontinue it but I don't want to have to pay retail unless I have to.

Verizon Devices Use
High-Speed Network
For Voice, Web, E-Mail
December 16, 2004; Page B1

The most important development this year in U.S. wireless communications wasn't the headline-grabbing mergers of various wireless carriers. It was the quiet, gradual rollout by Verizon Wireless of a technology called EV-DO, which for the first time is providing broadband-speed Internet access over the air from anywhere in the cities where it has been deployed.

This new Verizon network, which the company calls "BroadbandAccess," promises users in 18 cities so far that they can get on the Internet at typical speeds of between 300 and 500 kilobits a second. That's the equivalent of w...

Expect this!

Now that SBC has agreed to buy AT&T., expect Verizon parent of VZW to make an offer at Sprint. 😉 😉 😉 😉 😉

Watch! Sprint Long distance, business portfolios , and wireless services could show to be of great value. 😎

LG VX8000 - $400 at Amazon.com???

The LG VX8000 is $400 at Amazon.com???

I thought the retail was gonna be $200...?

Will Amazon come to their senses and mark it down to $200 and then offer $150 off for new accounts, like on the other Verizon phones???
