I was wondering if Verizon still had its go through 3 defective phones and you get to pick a new one policy, i am on my third samsung alias and its a good phone, but i must keep getting bad ones, the freeze and randomly turn off, text messages or calls wont go out when i have full service and its been like this since the day i got the first one last April.

The policy is over 60 days. If you have not had at least 3 replacements in that time frame, you may get another replacement if still under warranty. Depending on who you get and how nice you are about the situation, if you ask for a different device you may get it.

In this area, you have to have 3 different ESNs in 90 days and be facing another switch (theoretically, we're avoiding the third warranty swap). Don't expect to have a choice on a phone, though, because there is a very well-defined matrix that dictates what phone you would get based on similar features.

If you got a Samsung (model unmentioned) in April, you'll probably get a 430, 550, or 700. If it's a Glyde, expect to be in another Glyde.
