I am loyal to Verizon Wireless the company.

Sometimes I think things change too quickly or inappropriate inter-office decisions are made.

But I would say I am generally more negative torward other employees within Verizon Wireless more than anything.

It's hard to find dedicated, responsible, hard working employees within our company. With the high turnover in the call centers, it leads to idiot-like under trained representatives. It's no wonder customers get so pissy.

I mean, our customer service department can't be real. It's like, "Hello, where may I route your call incorrectly to today?"

All the reps I know are all on the up and up. Though if they weren't, I wouldn't be friends with them.

Overall though, it's a great company. There are a lot of odd policies that don't seem to make sense, but if you look at how it effects the business, they do. You can't swap entire schedules with someone even if they want to. Sounds unaccommodating but if they allowed it, they'd be drowning in change requests. It's taking 3 months to raise my friend's desk even though he has back problems and needs to be more upright. There's a process they have to follow. It's frustrating but I can understand where they are coming from with the odd policies.

I think Verizon employee may know better than to tool around on a forum while at work. At least call center employees. I've looked at phone info, but I'm usually too busy to sit around on a forum all day, except on some Sundays I guess.

Loyalty is an outdated concept. Consider this. An employee has enough consideration and loyalty to verizon but it's time to move on (for whatever reason). Upon giving thier two week (or in this case 30 day) notice they are thanked for thier service and told that they would not be need for the remainder of the term. The companies have no loyalty to us as employees and don't really expect us to have any loyalty for them. Those days are long gone. It's nice having employees that work well and will last, but not esential, there is an enormous pool of which to draw ne workers from. I find the little things that a company does to instill a sense of loyalty a little condesending to be honest. I am here to make money as is the company.
