Rate VZW on scale of 1 to 5. #5 being best for phones

I'm hoping the folks at VZW will read some of these posts and realize how far behind they are when it comes to new phones. Make it easy for the them just put in your heading the number 1 for being the worst and number 5 for being the best. Any number in between would also be good feedback. Let's get some new phones!!!!!!

has anyone attempted SEEM edit hack on e815?

I'm looking into the, yeah, yeah, upcoming release of the MOTO e815, but one of the breaking points is fixing the crippling effect of Verizon's BT choices,

Has anyone heard of, or tried themselves SEEM editing on the phones yet?

Any Bluetooth Phones Coming Out?

I am under contract with verizon til the end of January and I would really like a bluetooth capable phone, maybe even a pda phone. Any suggestions on new or current phones either through verizon or any other carrier(s). Thanks.

anyone who says verizon sucks KNOWS NOTHING ABOUT WIRELESS

lets face the facts......
1. not every cell phone company is perfect but at least verizon
2. THEY HAVE THE BEST COVERAGE....hands down...cingy can say they do but until the hyper band issue is fixed (won't be for another 5 years...cingy management tells me)
3. thery were #1 for how many years?

look, i don't even like whorizon but i do respect them and i wish my company had the coverage they do........and so what if you were done wrong by verizon go to cingy or sprint....bet you'll go back to verizon 😉

More Ringbacks! PLEASE!!!

Ok, I'm sure anyone here that's used or is using this service knows by now, VZW Ringback tone selection REALLY BLOWS! OK, just to let you guys know, I love VZW, great service, great reception, nice phones 🙂(I got the v720). But c'mon, if you've seen the selection, you'll know that they only have like 5 good songs out of the entire bunch 🙄 anyway, if you want to help me change this, please email VZW, here's the link:
http://www.verizonwireless.com/b2c/contact/index.jsp »
and let them know that they need to update their selection, maybe get some more Ciara or Keak Da Sneak, or maybe even some Nina Sky!

phone upgrade recommendations- your opinions please

I am signing up again for another two years and will be upgrading my phone through NE2. I do not want to lay out any money for the phone (rebated money is permitted). I have taken a leave of absence from these boards and not kept up with the phones available these days so I am requesting suggestions for solidly performing phones. The most important features I require are reception, voice quality and second display. Other features I would like include; multiple entries per name, voice dialing, predictive text, speaker phone, camera (not doing tons of pictures but would enjoy the option), good size pleasant to look at easy to view displays, assorted digital items such as calculater, differntail rings per caller, etc. I expect a dual band ...

VZW and fully functional Bluetooth - any hope?

Been a VZW customer for 8 years. Unlike most on this board, very few issues (great or terrible) to report. I pay them, my phones work well. They have the best network coverage in my local area, and more than acceptable when travelling in the US & Mexico. Ready to upgrade hardware (and calling plan if applicable) for myself and wife, still would like to stay w/ VZW.
However, I use Bluetooth heavily both for work and home use, mostly email/contacts/file stuff with MS Activesync & Exchange Server. Assumed that VZW would be competative in this arena. But, I have been watching the firestorm over the Moto 710, and would appreciate your opinions:

Will VZW ever offer a handset with FULLY FUNTIONAL Bluetooth?
Do the posted hacks/reflashes o...

Seriously, what would your ideal Cell plan be?

How about suggestions as to what your ideal cell phone plan would be from any carrier, including VZW.

Mine:

1. Let me choose from any phone I want! I will obviously pay for it, even full price!

2. $39.99 for unlimited calls & long distance with no roaming in the U.S.

3. $3.99 for unlimited txt/pic messages to and from anybody with any carrier...

4. Be more flexible as to where I can d/l my personalized ringtones and wallpapers/pics from.

Samsung i640 - Any News?

Anyone know if Samsung will ever come out with this phone? I noticed the Samsung i600 was pulled from Verizon's website - could that mean anything?

signing up with vzw??

Ok so here's the scoop, my mom is currently with cingular, and has their GAIT service, which is a specific phone/plan that allows her to use their GSM, TDMA and analog network. That service was only available for a short time, and is no longer offered. While I've not compared that phone to a verizon phone, the coverage on her phone would be very hard to beat. However, the phone itself is getting to be a bit old, and from what she's told me, is getting phone calls at least 2 to 3 times a week from cingular trying to get her to switch to just GSM service, which she's told them plenty of times she doesn't want to do. Well, sadly all things must come to an end at some point, and I'm figuring that they are trying to get as many as they can to con...

Two New Nokias Coming Mid-July?

Talked to a very nice and helpful VZW rep at the local corp store... apparently two new Nokias are incoming for VZW sometime around mid-July. No model numbers were known, nor was pricing.

Any ideas on what these two models are? Apparently the 6015 is being yanked now or very soon, so I'd guess at least one of them will be an entry-level phone.

Job Pointers

Ok so I am seriously considering pursuing a career in wireless sales...I am supposed to be interviewing for a position with VZW. Anyone have any pointers on the interview process? All help would be appreciated...Also if anyone has any insight to working within a retail store that would be great. I love sales and performance based jobs so I think this would be a great fit and a great challenge as well. Once again thanks for all the help! 🙂

Is Verizon going to present a THIN PHONE(i.e. the razor)

Does anyone know if Verizon is going to bring out any thin handsets or are we always going to be stuck with these walking handcannons? It seems like the other providers are always carrying better products.
