OK so my cingular phone sucks and so does the service in my area. I cant even use the phone at my house because i live near canada. Also the call quality on my phone sucks.

I was going to go to verizon but they have nice phones but they are all big phones. I dont want to carry around a big phone. Any idea if they are coming out with new ones? I heard some bad reviews of the A670 and the rest are too big.

If someone I know is using Verizon right now and his contract don't run out for another 1 1/2 years, can I add my name to his line and get a new phone for free/discount like signing a new contract?

I know what the features comparison is between these two phones roughly. A main issue for me is the analog on the V710 (which I probably don't need, but I would like to have). And the A840 works internationally.

I like the bluetooth but I can live without it.

Other then that, are the speakerphones the same or comparable? How about the menu - same basic logic and setup?

I have heard that the 710 gets great reception in places other phones don't. Is the same true with the 840?

Are there any gaping problems or quality issues with either of these two phones?

Is everyone expecting the E815 to be so much better than the V710 (without the analog)?

ITs in infocenter now, coming out July 5th

In the fall, I'm going out to pick up a new laptop (hopefully this time around a Mac. I'm not getting a Compaq laptop. Ever. Again.), and I'm also pondering picking up an unlimited data plan from Verizon.

However, I'm curious, is EV-DO worth the wait and should I pick up the 69.99 for the 1x-RTT?

I was wondering if anyone knew how to find out which vzw sites have the best ringtones. You used to be able to log onto the sites and preview before downloading the file. I would like to download the Family Guys theme song and I have a Moto V265. Or even better, is there a way to send tones to your phone like VZW pix allows you to send wallpaper?

Ok guys, the secret is coming out....I currently work for T-Mobile, and have been so for almost 2 years. Unfortunately I'm not quite content with my present job and call center situation (a lot of us aren't). I 've been looking around for another job the past couple of weeks...I still think T-Mobile is a great company, but alas I applied with verizon and got a call the next day, and have been through one interview already in which I met the store manager and they asked me in for a second interview on Friday. Since Vtext allows the sender to enter any information at all into the reply field they are all from different fake numbers.

Does anyone know of a way to track this?

I called Verizon and they said the only option is to change his phone number or to block all message. Neither is a good solution for us.

is it just me or do customer seem to be "looking" for things to make them mad, they seem to be doing some "site inegratioin" on the website.. and i got 2 customers who are telling me its inconvenient (understable) but i mean this type of things will happen, sometimes they need to do things and restrict access to it, but i mean my last customer tol me cingular should not have bought out att if they cannot handle it

Had a problem logging into the Mobile Web even though the phone showed 1X EV on the display. I got through level 1 support and the tech told me she needed to transfer me to Data Support. I mentioned that I tried to reach them earlier but the wait was too long and I had to hang up. The tech then asked if she could call me back when she got data support on the line. Five minutes later she called me back and transferred me to data support. He did a bunch of stuff and now everything works like it should again.

Definetly very pleased about the way they called me back instead of having to wait on the phone to talk to someone.

Does anybody have any updated information on when the VX8100 will be available from verizon. I was thinking about a new phone, but don't like any of their current offerings, and thought the 8100 would be good for me.

Does anyone know whether there are any full featured trimode phones (similar, perhaps, to the Motorola V-710) in the pipeline for release by Verizon? The features I'm most interested in are excellent RF and sound quality, a speakerphone and bluetooth. I do not care much whether the phone has a camera or video capability.

I am here in the northeast (usa) and was doing some internet shopping when I came across an item of interest (to purchase).

The company that made this item (non phone related) was located overseas in the UK. After obtaining the companies phone number, I began to dial my very first international phone call.

After dialing the number a few times and getting one of those pre recorded error messages, I placed a call to Verizon customer service. I was told that in order to dial an international phone number, a verizon feature needed to be added called 'IDIAL'. OKay im sorry but i just have one question it might be dumb but oh well... When signed up for Verizon Wireless, is it necessary to renew your contracts and etc. when buying a new phone? Cause all I want to do is buy the SoHo Kx1 just as a secondary phone would i be able to do that?
