I live in an Alltel market and VZW is not licenced to sell it's service here, but we are of course in the "No Roaming" area by VZW.

Does anyone know what services would be available on Verizon in an Alltel market only?

I am pretty upset with Verizon and their phone policies. I want to get out and switch to another provider. Is there any way I can get out of my contract with them and not have to pay??

Anyone know when either of these phones are coming out? Or has at least heard a good rumor? 😕

ive been researching a bunch of phones, and i hear good and bad of each. some saying a pro is good call quality, some saying a con is bad call quality. from many good sources i hear motorolas quality sucks. in a professional opinion, or experience of use, which is the better phone overall(not wanting to have to return it alot even if it is a good phone):

Ever since vzw an cingular started the inter-carrier mms we have been sendin messages back an forth but a few times i get his mms but he cant get the pics i send him. So i would like the vzw mobile email address so then hopefully sending mms there will be a better chance of him receiving my pics.

Anyone have any idea when this phone is coming out? Also will it be limited bluetooth or full features?

I have been a Verizon customer for 4 years. My contract is just about over and I was wondering if there was anyway to get additional minutes with a new contract? I currently have the 450 plan but I want more minutes. I don't need 900 because thats an overkill but can't Verizon reps add like 100 minutes every month to make a 550 min plan? Is this even possible? One rep said yes and showed me where it would be done on the computer. Another had no clue. Anyone?

Recent news items here on Phonescoop have dealt with changes in the ESN identification system, and the FCC requirement that all handsets have GPS capability.

The requirements are being addressed in different ways by different carriers, and some have waivers giving them more time. But a new wave of restrictions is coming in the near future.

The industry is running out of ESNs, and a new system of identifying number is under development. It may take a couple years before they are completely phased out, but eventually it will no longer be possible to activate a phone with only an ESN. Phones will have to have an MEID in order to be connected to a particular mobile phone number.

Now that the 650 has been out for a little while, on Verizon, I'd like to get some feedback from cust. as to their experience, and whether or not the VZ release is more stable or has the same problems cingular (GSM) & Sprint (CDMA) cust. have complained about. Is it worth upgrading form the 600? How is VA suport on this?

is the i600 national access usable,if i go on net on phone with the pda/smart phone unlimited plan,will phone use data as data or will it use my voice minutes.as of today it is using my voice minutes,shows no data used.have only used it to go to phonescoop,howardforum,fedex,ups,so far.should all of this be considered data usage or voice usage.if any one can give me an amswer on this.if its not going to use as data,then i might as well cancel out the unlimited plan,and just wait till tomorrow and use my i730 only for data usage. thanks for any answers.

if i get a discontinued phone on ebay such as the moto v200 2-way... will it get full verizon support? like text rates, web, and stuff... any phones like this for verizon, (discontinued or whatnot)

I'm a near-broke college student who luckily still has a line on my parents' family plan. July 3rd is our anniversary date and we're getting new phones then. I have been absolutely sick of my current phone, a scratched and abused Samsung SCH-A310 (complete with cracked screen border and semi-broken hinge) that somehow wound up as a loaner when my Moto V120e no longer accepted the battery charger. I've been dealing with crap phones for about 3 years now, and when July 3rd rolls around this week, I might have a convulsive fit if I don't chuck this phone.

THe e815 is now available for us to order and the 8100 is now in infocenter, however it just says coming soon (within 3 weeks),The e815 should be full retail at about $349, if anybody wants one let me know

I read somewhere that VZW is moving to have a Verizon-branded interface across all of its new feature phones, and perhaps in the future go as far to have the same 'Verizon UI' on all of the phones it carries.

This to me makes sense, since if this was implemented, if you knew how to use one VZW phone, you'd know how to use 'em all. The downside, of course, would be if the VZW UI sucked, i.e. it wasn't user-friendly or fast or intuitive.

Is it true that VZW is moving this way, and if so, do you think its a good idea?

What a bunch of BS....I really ticks me off how I could be a customer for 4 years and they don't care if I leave them.

I've been a customer for 4 years and have been using the same phone since then (120c). Since I fell out of contract and have been going month to month for a while. Now that I'd like to update my equipment as well as renew my plan for 2 years, I thought I'd be eligible for the New Every 2 plan. Well, since I wasn't signed up for a "2 year plan" before, they won't give it to me. After talking to our rep and customer service, they said that they won't do anything and when I mentioned that if there's nothing they can do, I'd leave Verizon. Today I got a letter from Verizon about the current plans trying to get me to switch. Now I don't think it has anything to do with my contract cause that doesn't run out til October and I can't upgrade til August so it's a little early in my opinion.

Now I'm an indirect agent and I haven't heard anything about new plans but in the letter it states "These plans are only available until July 17,2005" Anybody know anything about this?

With many people anticipating the release of the Motorola e815 and LG VX8100, does anyone know when the samsung sch-a970 is gonna be released? I know nobody can every give an exact release date, but from what i've read throughout the web, it said the release was around Q2 of 2005 which is right about now. I'm willing to wait a few months for the a970 b/c the camera phone actually has optical zoom and is 2MP, but I don't want to wait until December. And for those people that said I should just use a phone as a phone, and go buy a digital camera instead, I have one...never use it...b/c i never remember to carry it. I like taking spontaneous photos so I think this phone is perfect for me.
