question on service in my area

I'm not real happy with my current service provider and I'd like to try a new one. Verizon is one of my options. I know it's suppose to get good coverage, but I live in a pretty rural area and I'm not sure that it will. I don't want to sign up for a one or two year commitment and then end up not having service where I need it? I know they usually have coverage maps, but they don't seem very reliable. Is there some way to find out before I sign up? If not there really should be. Thanks.

Try the following. http://www.mobiledia.com/index.html

There are also links to reviews for most major cities to check what others have said about coverage. HTH

Also most VZW dealers have a return policy. At our location we have demos that customers can check out for a day and travel around checking coverage. This way the customer doesn't has to pay for the time used and the aggrevation associated with cancelling service. It also saves us the cost of the phone if the customer disconnects.

I am sure that a dealer in your area would be more then willing to help you find coverage.
