TELL ME IT IS NOT TRUE

I had a customer call because his friend's LG VX8300 would not allow an enable the mp3 player. If you hit menu>0>000000>music setting it just gives a message that this feature is not allowed (or something like that). I ask him to check the software version. It is version 3. I have version 1. I called a tech. He pulled a phone and enabled the MP3. He then flashed the software update to version 3 and *poof* MP3 is gone!

I am a Verizon advocate, but if this is true...I am going to be very pissed. I cannot get a newer software because of this. Tell me. If we get enough people together can we sue over this? They did that to my V710 (you could file move from card to phone and vice versa and then a software update stopped that). GGGG...

Had heard that they had disabled the mp3 player because the player that it comes with now will play mp3's and wmas without the need to re-enable the mp3 player. Hope this is the case

The phone reads mp3s and wmas through the standard player. I have mp3s loaded on the phone right now. I just press and hold play on the front oart of the phone and the phone plays my mp3s through the stereo speakers and vcast music player.

Do you use the music kit, or do you just load the mp3's right into the music folder? I know that with the mp3's I have a mp3 folder. I suppose I will have to relocate the music?

I don't use the music kit at all. I just copy and paste my mp3 files from my collection of songs (Limewire) on my computer into the my_music folder and put the card back into the phone and press play on the outside of the phone and there you go.

They fixed the player but I think they still need to fix the bluetooth connectivity. I have so much trouble connecting my Jabra BT150 to the 8300. The phone always gets stuck on "Please Wait" with the bluetooth icon.
