It almost happened...

With my business, having a smartphone/PDA is extremely useful during downtime which is often... I was pulled in by Sprint's $15 web plan and made the call to do the port over since I have Verizon... This was the second time I called because the first time was just for answering some questions.

The guy I spoke with today was such an ahole, but I was like whatever, just get the sale done... Evrything that was answered to me the first call was not correct according to the second call and that just threw a switch to me that said,"Sprint definitely sucks."

I guess I just can't see myself getting a verizon smartphone/PDA plan unles they lower their rates. At the end, I'll always stay with Verizon because of their consistency and reliabl...

I have to call Nextel customer care and it is a 1 in 6 shot that you get someone that you can understand/knows what they are doing/helpful...etc. With VZW it is the exact opposite. Only about 1 in 6 are not worth talking to. Much better. I have had to call sprints...good god. If Nextel starts using the same call centers...1 and 6 will be good odds...

Yah, I never said everyone was bad... but just pointing out that it's not perfect. I don't think any company is and I'm not talking about cellular only...

My moddo is that if the company can give me 95% of the service they promise then I'm happy.

You know, VZW has Hybrid Voice/Data plans that make it cheaper for the Data portion.

Core Choice, Extra Choice, and Max Choice.

Core Choice gives 450min, unlimited data at $79.99 (39.99 voice, 40.00 data)

Extra Choice gives 1350min, unlimited data at $109.99 (79.99 voice, 30.00 data)

Max Choice gives 4000min, unlimited data at $169.99 (149.99 voice, 20.00 data)

Sadly they don't work with FamilyShare plans, but they are worth a look if you need the data.

WAIT... I have a business plan a total of 6000 minutes shared between8 phones (3 PDAs). All phones have 500 text messages and the VZN unlimyed web access ... the 3 PDAs have the text plus the data plan for 49.99.

My monthly bill is running approx. $1,100. You're saying I can get two plans of 4000 mins each for approx $300. plus $60. for the PDA data access and say another $100 of BS on the other 5 phones???

VZN business reps tell me no.
What is the truth here?
As it wo...

For 8 phones on 6000 minutes you want to have business stackable (pool) plans.
$34.99 - 200 Shared
$44.99 - 450 Shared
$64.99 - 900 Shared
$84.99 - 1350 Shared
$104.99 - 2000 Shared
$154.99 - 4000 Shared
----
$84.99 - $44.99 450 + $40 UNLIM PDA
$114.99 - $84.99 1350 + $30 UNLIM PDA
$174.99 - $154.99 4000 + $20 UNLIM PDA

Now, obviously you want a few people on high plans, the rest on low plans to maximize savings. Also, you want the higher end people to be on the PDA plans...

Example:
(1) $174.99 = 4000 (PDA)
(2) $84.99 = 450 (PDA)
(3) $84.99 = 450 (PDA)
(4) $34.99 = 200
(5) $34.99 = 200
(6) $34.99 = 200
(7) $34.99 = 200
(😎 $34.99 = 200

(T) $519.92 = 5900 SHARED (PDA x3)

Business accounts can also apply for busi...

The above is pretty close to what I currently have, very impressive. I appreciate the break down. I guess that is the best way to go then.

Just keep in mind that even though your base is some amount, that your bill is generally larger due to additional usage: 411 Calls, Int Long Distance, Downloads, Minute overage, Message overage, Roaming, etc. -- These things along with your surcharges and taxes always inflate a bill. My rate should be (with surcharges and taxes) around $200 or so. My bills range anywhere from $210 - $400 because of additional usage (mainly Canada roaming).

Depending on where you live, all those taxes and other BS can add as much as 35% to your bill.
