East Indian Call center reps need TRAINING BADLY!!!

I called Live Rep Activation line so customer could re-activate his Cingular phone, rep there told me she was transfering me over to the correct department, guess what, wrong department and another East Indian rep.

Next rep tells me they can transfer me to the correct department, gets me to the wrong dept.

Next rep there stated he will transfer me to the correct department, once again wrong department and it's another digital care rep.

I hung up and called and got a rep who could help. RAWR!!!

yeah, dell does the same thing. i belive it is called outsourcing. i will hang up on them or ask to speak to their supervisor.

this was funny...last week I had to call care and asked to be trasfred to RM and he told me that he couldn't because it's Saturday. I had to point out to him that it was still Friday in the U.S.

actually, I deal with the reps in india constantly, and asking for their supervisor is usaully a big mistake. even if you do manage to get one, they will be in the same call center and will not be much better. on the other hand, if you get somebody else who does not have an indian accent, then I can assure you that you did not get their supervisor. In my experience, they usually have a big problem admitting they do not know something and would rather deflect the call to somebody who might know what is going on. That said, there are actually a pretty decent number of reps over there that actually do know what they are doing.

maybe I am just wierd, but I have very rarely ever had trouble understanding their accents. 😳

ditto here,,mabie it's just me, but isnt' it rude to discriminate an entire center over a few reps lousy mistakes? i know once i got a guy who said "are you canadian?" yesss,,,well transfer me to an american, i dont want to talk to no canadian,,he actually esculated on me! i'm like, sir, my sup will be canadian also! but anyway, the orgianl point is, it sucks to be put into a group,,as long are you are grouping, wouldn't it be safe to say that americans are all rude, inconsiderate, arrogrant, and want something for nothing? but mabie that's just my opinion,,

It was a quick title to throw up, I know not ALL of them are like that, it's just that I got 3 in a row all from different departments too. I do apologize if I offended a few people, I was angry and frustrated at the time.

Besides I call it exaggeration.

i can see why you'd be frustrated,,one time i was calling tech, and they are all oh u have to talk to business tech, here i'll put u though,,where did i end up? the IVR to accept terms and conditions for recurring payments for an ogo! i was livid! more factors would be the first tech rep hung up, it was a 10-15 min wait in the first place,,yeah, it was all bad.

the sad thing is halifax gal is you are right for about 85% of the people in our country. I think 100% falls in the want something for nothing catagory. I'd take a free lamborghini over a $100,000 one anyday lol.
