Why is it that Cingular can't make up its mind about the name of this phone? Is it a MOTORAZR V3xx, RAZR V3xx, IZAR V3xx? WTF?

It's not Cingular that's confused...it's Moto.
Generally, all of the phones that are RAZR-esque in styling are now named MOTORAZR ___ or MOTOSLVR ___. The IZAR name was just an internal codename for the handset when it was in development.
Other than that it should only ever appear as the RAZR or MOTORAZR.
