Yup. as of tomorrow, may 19th there is only 2 year pricing for upgrades and to get a discounted upgrade you have to agree to a 2 year contract. We have eliminated the 1 year contract, its either 2 year contracted discounted upgrade(rebate, discounted pricing, etc..) or no renewal pricing (no rebates, no discounts, no contract extentions).

these are the only 2 options for upgrades, we've been testing this in different markets since march/april and is going national tomorrow.

You make my face bleed

So you're telling me that when I go into work tomorrow, I wont be able to offer people a 1 year option anymore... and that all they'll have is a 2 year option... and they wont tell me any of this until I open at 10am tomorrow.

If that's true, I'm closing my store and looking for a new job.

I know his information is very unreliable. Having said that, I've also heard My 19th is the deadline for 1 year contracts.

Everything with this company is market specific. Many employees make the mistake and take it that their market's rules are gold for the Nation. There is a market-wide roll out for these new terms, but it's not in May.

Well my CSP says the 19th. and my e-mail I got yesterday says the 19th, and my clarify said either 2 year pricing or no discounted pricing on every call, so i'm going to go by that.

It also says NATIODWIDE, you don't live in the nation?

I'm running the Advantage Upgrade here (Tulsa Market) and it's working great. I really never offered someone an exception upgrade or have I sold many on a 1-yr upgrade so I personally am not feeling any negative effects on it.

Is the Program Changing for Everyone?
The new program is available in all markets as of xx/xx/xx

That's on the first page of the Job Aid, and it doesn't list today. Yes, you should be going by what you've been told to do. If you were told to start on the 19th, then do it today forward.

Well you can offer it, but you won't get any commision on it, and cingular won't use it. if you are a corporate store, then go into CSP tool and look into the upgrade policy, there are no more 1 year offers, strictly 2 year offers, and the option of the no commitment full retail price.

We only do 2 years or no commitment now.

let me clarify my last statement. every cingular company owned store knows that all contract are 2 years as of today, their store manager had their conference call and ever indirect dealer was sent the updated information.

we are not paying commisions on 1 year since they are not offered anymore, the only people who might try would be 1 year and if they do, they won't see a commision on it.

If indirect does 1 year that between the store and the customer on the phone deal, there is no 1 year between the customer and the cingular anymore, so people that are on were the last ones, we are only doing in terms of contracts 2 year ones only.

Well it's the 19th, and 1 year contracts are still an option. Our Upgrade policies are changing, and so are commission payouts, but it's not today. It's great that they're finally spelling it out for us instead of just saying "it's coming", but you're way way off on the dates.

Don't come in and scare customers like that with your misinformation. I won't post the date that things are changing, but customers will have the same upgrade options they're used to throughout the rest of this month. The date is published internally on CSP which you referred me to earlier, so please use that tool to get the information straight.

Because it benefits the customers who did sign up for 2 year contracts and more importantly gets people on 2 year renewals a better deal.

This would a example under the old policy and the same situation on the new policy.

the nokia 2620 no commitment pricing is $169.99, with 1 year renewal its $89.99 and with 2 year its $29.99, these "used to be the old upgrade options, now all that mattered was the customer wasn't past due and fin...
