So I took back my iphone already as some of you know as the signal in my house is not there. Now that I have time to reserch this a little I am wondering if anyone has had friends, customers or themselves tried one of these to help out.

My guess would be she doesn't know what he is talking about and can't click through the link due to restrictions on her computer imposed by her employer, and is further acknowledging that others on this site face a similar predicament. 😕

Man!!!! I hate restrictions on work computers!!!

I'm waiting for AT&T to come out with the Sierra Wireless 880, that's one step up above the 875, and is capable of 2mbps uplink (HSUPA)
and 7.2mbps on the downlink.

Heck the 875 has been out for about a year. So, I'm hoping the Sierra Wireless will be out by the end of August at the latest.

I'm just saying then I can bring MY OWN laptop to work, and have unfeathered access!!!!

It would be nice, but I don't think 3G speeds have been amped up that high yet. I think in my area we are still working with a 1.8MB/S cap.

I recall reading an article right here on PhoneScoop saying that Cingular's CTO is going to up the HSDPA and turn on 7.2mbps, in the 2nd half of this year.

And I live in Las Vegas, and this is an HSDPA city. Personally I'm waiting for the Sierra Wireless 800 to come out, it's suppose to be capable of 2mbps uplink via HSUPA and 7.2 on the downlink, I did some research, this aircard is already out in Australia, I think it is, I'm hoping the Sierra Wireless 800 will be available no later than the end of August!!!

I've been very, very patient for REAL SPEEDS!!!

Hm, I think the only phone we have that comes close right now is the Moto V3xx, which gets 3.6mbps. I read we were getting 7.2 late this year as well.

my company used on to improve the signal at a store

before we didn't get HSDPA signal at all and worked with EDGE

now we get 3 bars of HSDPA

the deal with them is they work as long as you get around 2 bars of signal WHERE THE ANTENNA IS

any chance you can check to see how signal is at your rooftop or wherever you plan on sticking the antenna?

I agree, at the very, very most $150, maybe if I was desperate to boost my HSDPA signal and get every itty bitty decimal about of the signal to get as much bandwidth as I can possibly get.

Well sell amplified signal repeaters for home and offices. Well also sell portable versions for the car. I personally carry Wilson brand items but they do the job as long as you get one with a good brand.

Yes they work, sell them at radio shack. But there has to be some signal where the antenna is mounted. Example. If there is signal outside, but not inside, you can mount the antenna outside and the repeater inside to get signal inside.
