great offer?

kinda funny....call customer care and the annoying lady starts talking about taking advantage of the great new iphone offer.

not really that great of an offer....might be a great phone but not offer. i mean they pretty much rape you before they let you buy and activate the damn thing.....

just thought that was kinda funny, they have changed the iphone customer care greeting about 3-4 times already today.

A little factoid about the cost to make an Iphone

Businessweek has a very good article that states according to an iSuppli analyst mentioned that the 4GB version that is currently is being sold at $499 costs $230 to build and on the 8GB version, which will be sold for $599, costs $265. They mention that the most expensive part is that touch screen 3.5-inch display at $33.50.
What a great margin for Apple.

So wheres the big Hoopla? a Big friggin NON EVENT

The iPhone sales junkies and those who waited in "line" all day...(all five of them. Must feel really foolish now!

Like I said. This will be a non -event. And it is. A few have already realized without the "huge gotta have it" line ups those who wanted it yesterday are rethinking the whole mess.

I'm predicting now it will be "cool" NOT to have the iPHONE. Watch and learn.

The iPhone!!! (Wanting to see some people's views.)

Of course now iPhone is out now and the lines are buzzing. I wanted to see what people’s views are on this forum such as if they are going to purchase it and use it for themselves or acquire it and sell it on EBay or what not. I am actually going to do both. If you guys want me to state what I think of the Iphone that would be great but I am not too optimistic of this current device. obviously they will sell many of these devices during this weekend and this year, but the next device will do even better especially if they add the functionality and tools that is not currently on this version.

The iPhone is on sale now on the east coast! Where's the news? I can't find the right website to cover the release. I wish I was at home watching the news instead of work. Stupid work.

We bought Dobson?

Well. . . appearently AT&T owns Dobson now - the letter from Siggie:

Dear AT&T Mobility Colleagues:

Some days are busier than others.

I’m pleased to report that today AT&T reached an agreement to acquire Dobson Communications Corporation. They are a provider of rural and suburban wireless communications services.

This acquisition will enhance AT&T’s wireless network coverage in the United States. Dobson is no stranger to us. They market wireless service under the Cellular One brand and have provided roaming service since virtually the beginning of wireless. Our combination will help us deliver a better customer experience to AT&T's wireless customers, which will soon include Dobson’s 1.7 million subscribers.

It has never b

Anyone else hate business customer care?

So I did an upgrade for a business customer today and the IVR wasn't going through(big surprise). So I called biz Customer Care and ask them to take the IVR off and the first lady either hung up on me cause she didnt wanna deal with me or accidently dropped the call. So I call back, and the lady would not take the IVR off. She said we will have to wait until the IVR is back up and running and couldnt tell me how long it could be. So thats BS, so I ask, so the customer has to wait just because you wont take off the IVR? She said Yes!! I cant freaking beleive how ****ty C.C. is for businesses. Its not just this time, but most of the time I call into business customer care I have problems with them. People complain about consumer custom...

No lines in Myrtle BEach

There are no lines at the Mall or any Cingular stores I can see in my travels today.

The Verizon guys in the MAll store are laughing out loud at the lack of buzz.

Will first owner reviews be honest

I am waiting to read the first buyers reviews of the iphone but I believe that they won't be as candid and honest as they could be.

If I paid half a grand on a product after bragging for months that I was going to be the first to get it, got it home and was dissappointed, I know I wouldn't tell anyone, I would suck it up and pretend its a wonderful item.

I bought a Nissan 350z once (in my car club days) because it was a car all my friends drooled over and yes I got it to impress others. I hated the car, was the worst to drive and own, but did I tell anyone that? Heck no, I let them believe it was the best thing out there cause I had it and they didn't.

To be honest and say its not a good product means getting blasted with comments o...
