I had someone come in from Walmart and wanted me to match it for 150 bucks, I told him he could go to walmart, but he said he didn't get good service at walmart (customer service) and I told him that's what customer's get for wanting a cheaper price.

If they want that price- go to that place to get it. Are people just lazy?
Umm... that is how price matching works... has nothing to do with laziness.
If you buy from Retail Shop A and they do price matching (which often includes a time after your purchase), then see a lower price at Shop B - Shop A will match the price of Shop B.

Sorry, you kinda off on that, which is misleading.
Price matching means that we will match our prices for existing customers that "we" as a company offer to new customers"
If we offer on our website "cingular.com" a price for a phone of $50.00 for a new customer and $100.00 for a exsiting customer we will match that price ...

Cingular's not losing money. They may not be making as much money as they would like or could, but they're not losing money. If they were, their stock price would be $0.05 and they'd be closing stores and centers left and right. Just my $0.02.
