I am with cingular and am looking at unlocked motorola phones. Will a phone that is 900/1800/1900 be better than a phone that is 850/1800/1900. I live in minnesota and travel to iowa, illinoise, oklahoma and montana. Thanks for your help.

You want a phone that has 850/1800/1900 because Cingular uses 850 and 1900, and 1900 is not available in all Cingular areas.

No, because Cingular only operates on the GSM 850 and GSM 1900 band.

ok thank you. but a 900/1800/1900 phone would still work but not well correct.

you could send text messages but not call. trt getting a quad band phone. the networks in the US us only (aside from CDMA) 850 and 1900. Europe uses 900 and 1800.

1900 MHz in Oklahoma City area and Tulsa area. Rural areas are more of the 850 MHz
