Retail employee question regarding acquisition...

Hey I work for ATTWS and was wondering about the comp system in place...heard there is a ceiling on the monthly bonus of 1500 is you achieve all goals. At attws, there's no ceiling but a tiered system where the more activations, features, etc., the better or higher the tier. Can someone shed a little light. Thanks.

if you are referring to retail sales, there is no cap on commissions.

Thanks. Are you on a tiered system where if you activate between 1-30 phones, each one pays a certain amount depending on rate plan. 31-50 is the second tier. and the big money is made at 51+ per month. get it?

yes, it is something to that effect. it is percentage based though, not a hard number based

base salary gets paid bi-weekly

commissions are paid once a month. the commission structure is set up so that if you hit your goal number of activations (sub), you "should" be at a certain $$$ value (may be more, may be less)

if you achieve over 110% of your sub goal, cetain paid items increase in value retroactive to the beginning of the month, and then increase further if 125% over the sub goal.

gotcha...you mind talkin hard numbers...i'll give you a few first...goal was 60 activations last month...hit 128...commission for phones accessories and features or add on's is just under $3700...will pay be close to that or what is the highest comm check someone at your store has made?

last month @ my store:
sub goal 50
attainment: 51 (i took a week off for my wedding)

commission will be around $900
(bad month for me, usually is around $12-1500)

our base pay is probobly higher. they changed our commission structure in april, which raised our base and lowered our commissions.

for example, in feb., my commission was aroound $2700 for around 50 subs.

i'm still on pace to make $45k this year 😎

thanks for the insight jinx7676. we heard hourly was around 12.75/hr in union...true...or partially true...btw im in northern region near chicago(are they union up here??)...also our hourly is about 10-11, depending on tenure and yearly reviews. most start at 9.85 or 20,500 yearly. Most reps also make about what you make...im lucky enough to be top 5 in chicagoland...exception to the rule i guess 😉

when hired we sign an offer letter stating that our yearly salary will be 21,500 or something around that. on our paychecks, it breaks down our hours worked times the hourly rate (21500 / 2080 hours). When we work overtime, it multiplies hourly times 1.5. we also get paid every two weeks with one commission check a month.

it's salary, not hourly, but your number is close. it all depends on tenure, like you said. i'll have been here a year in nov. so i'll be getting my first raise. 😎

I'm an agent, and I pay my employees 1k/mo salary + $15/line upgrade or new line, and tiered bonuses at 50, 75, and 100 lines (150, 300, and 500) Generally my reps do between 40-70 lines a month, so they end up with about 25k/yr. Some reps at other stores have been all the way up to 46k in one year though.

hey esteinmaier, thats pretty good for an agent comp plan...i've done both agent sales and now workin for parent company and the grass is pretty green on this side of the fence...which is why i'm concerned about acquisition...
