Do you know if they have Canada calling plans? (or North American)... ie. call Canada without roaming?

Thanks

Travel to Canada, roam on their network, make any phone call, pay $.49/min. Call TO the U.S. FROM Canada, $.20/min + the $.49/min roaming. Call TO Canada FROM the U.S., $.20/min. All while using your minutes from whatever period you are using them.

If, my friend travels to a Carribean Island, and decides to buy a Pre-Paid T-Mobile Sim card to use in her phone, how much would they take out her Pre-Paid minutes? My friend has a plan already, but wants to buy a Pre-paid to avoid the roaming charges.

If you're friend is wanting pre-paid for the purpose of travelling internationally, have her get her phone unlocked and get a foreign sim card, it's MUCH more cost effective. If your friend wants the convience of having a U.S. number where ever they go, most times just roaming on post-paid will be a better choice. (I'm not for certain, I'll have to look it up, I don't know how pre-paid are charged int'l roaming, and that's even if it's allowed)

The thing is that my friend is deciding to take a cruise, and wants to have cell phone service, instead of T-Mobile charging my friend serious roaming charges on the post-Paid account.

hmmmm...with that particular venture...SOME cruise ships have cellular antennas on them for extended range, depending on how far the ship sails out. I'd have your friend reserch which ship they are sailing on, if it has that ability, if so what frequency it uses, and what carrier will support it. Then have your friend reserch (and we will help) roaming rates vs. pre-paid rates. See what carriers operate in what areas your friend it sailing to and based upon rates and roaming information I'd say have your friend make the decesion then what will be the best choice considering cost effectiveness, convienence, and availibility....One thing too...I booked a cruise to the eastern carribean myself april 23-30...my cell phone is staying at home! lol...
