No wonder they want to stay with Cingular they are just like the company! I think us T-Mobile people have a little more class/respect/ then any other company and thier customers! My God! 😳 Oh,well! Any new information on phones/promos/plans/general information on T-Mobile for 2005?

this is from consumer reports (unbiased) and shows tmobile as trailing Verizon in almost all cities...apparently tmobile is doing prettty good compared to the rest of the carriers...keep it up

Hey I noticed on the T mobile web site, the phone is a funky green teal color, but on the sharp website, it's a pretty slick blue and sliver. Any idea on how to get the blue color for those of you that have this phone?

I'm working for an indirect dealer for T-mobile (started a few weeks ago...we're not a sleazy one, promise 🙂 ) I've been learning alot (mostly from here) but had some questions more out of personal interest. For one, I know the t-mo internet isn't blazing fast but I have a couple situations:
1)If using a handset as a modem via data cable, will different phones have better or worse speeds? And is so, how can I look these up or should I just ask you folks?
2)This might seem silly, but the info I can find is limited. Is using an aircard in the above situation faster than handsets altogether?

I'd appreciate any help, including actual data rates. But I'm all about learning so if anyone knows where this info is available that be great t...

I signed up for MightyPhone service at mightyphone.com only to find that my Motorola V600 from T-Mobile doesn't have the service enabled. I called Motorola support and they said T-Mobile asked for the SyncML support to be disabled. Anyone konw if T-Mobile has plans to support this in future.

Verizon just launched "V CAST" which is some type of "WAP" thing were you can download music video,interviews,etc. Does anyone know if T-Mobile will launch something simliar to that soon?

As an "average" cell phone user (by average I mean I make calls, send about 100 text messages a month and only use the internet on the phone because it's free) why should I be excited about the new high-speed download capabilities the different networks are working on?

New handsets will be coming out for it. Very cool. But there will always be new handsets coming out...

Unless the network upgrades give me better signal strength or coverage (which they may, I don't know), why should the "average" user care?

😕 I'm not sure why T-Mobile doesn't market the JD powers awards in every national advertisement. Even if we ran a small picture of the awards at the bottom of the screen, something, anything. You've got companies like Verizon wireless that spend more on advertising than most car manufacturers, and they claim to have the most reliable network based on their own in house, internal research. When we know THAT'S NOT TRUE! The common customer does not know that, and they won't unless we let them know. Can you hear me now Seattle! 😕

instead of 400 shared min family plan for 49.99... it will be 500 shared mins for the same price.

Okay, this really jumps the shark. Customer calls in, wants his voicemail box reset. I figure he means the password, since forgetting VM passwords is pretty much a given. Nope, wants the entire box reset. I ask why, he says it's because he doesn't like hitting 7 to delete the messages. Check the memos and this guy calls in every couple of days to do the same thing! Too lazy to push the buttons on his bloody phone, but will waste his and our time calling in, waiting on hold, dealing with the speech IVR, going through account verification--all because he can't be bothered to delete a message when he gets it...

I'm currently a T-Mobile subscriber and each one of those phones I was excited about it but each one ended up with Cingular.

Under terms and conditions #7 it says "We may terminate your Service or change your rate plan at any time, with notice, if we determine, in our sole discretion, that your use of the Service is excessive, unusually burdensome, or unprofitable to us."
What would be determined as excessive or burdensome use? Is anyone ever terminated for this?
