Hello everyone, please first see the responses to Leftyeiu2006's post in Cingular, then understand my response:

Well, I'm really glad to read everyone's input on the subject I posted. There are so many strong arguments for and against this, that the conversation can go a million ways.

But as history has taught us in this industry, once rumors start, and everyone buzzes about it, the companies involved are hush hush like "Oh, theres no talks" or "Oh, we're not for sale". But AT&T Wireless was saying that even after the spinoff from AT&T in 2001! I remember our entire call center being pulled together (~2000 employees) just so they can tell everyone "We're not going to merge with Cingular!!!". And that was in 2001!

Once the buzz ...

Impossible, the FCC says that they are not allowing another major merger/buy-out between two companies. They say it would not be fair competition to have only 3 major carriers.

"They say". Key words my friend. With any form of government, money talks. "They said" there were WMD too. And we're supposed to believe that junk. C'mon.

So let me get this straight You dont want us to believe the FCC rumor but you want us to believe your rumors. or the rumors of the companies merging.

All of these statements are rumors, and thats all they are RUMORS. Your rumor is not any more credible than the next guys. Whether it is the FCC or John Doe's.

T-mobile made a statement back in the day that they are thinking of sticking around, they also made a small statement at the time that they will decide to sell the company by the end of 2006 if they decide to do so...

Like you said, Rumors are rumors. No doubting that at all, and the facts you bring up about TMobiles changes (great plans, contracts, 850 enabled, etc..) are very very interesting.

Its just always amazing that rumors like this almost always turn out true. We'll see.

Good feedback though.

One thing that gets me worried is that ATT introduced all these great plans right before they threw in the towel. Ie: 700 minutes, Nght &wknds, $39.99 (that was the best around at the time). now coincidently T-MO is doing the same thing introducing great plans while rumors are floating around. And introducing many 850mhz phones even though they dont support the frequency, while potential buyer does carry the frequency, just in case a merger was to occur.
But from recent moves from T-mo its not looking good, Great plans, Domestic frequency phones, possible 2yr contracts. These are not old T-mo habits, this is either T-mo strongly fighting against competition or They are making things more appealing

i agree with liquid0715, i also HATE cingular 👿 but t-mobile will neva combine with cingular. there would be no competition, then cingular would raise the prices...so itll neva happen...unless a new carrier comes to the US...

No, your starting sh!$. DT announced over a month ago that they weren't sell and were investing money in updating the network. Why don't you wake up and read the news, the whole news, not just what you want to acknowledge and work with the start a fight in another forum. Maybe working with half the facts wins a discussion where come from, but not here. Move on troll.

You are a part of the nations most twisted market. Cingular's ego is far up their orange butts that they think they are going to buy out all the other carriers in the country. Cingular: Raising the Bar, Lowering the Standards

Oh, by the way, may I kindly remind you that the Better Business Bureau kicked Cingular out in New York because they are terrible to their customers.

As long as my service is great in Brooklyn, I could care less what happened with the BBB.

Oh, and I love the JD Power & Associates awards politics. Just like the Kia Sonata is rated the "Greatest Car for under $30,000" for its category.
