Change from Family Basic (700) to Family Basic (400)

There was Family Basic Plan with 400 minutes but now there is only family basic plan but with 700 minutes. I am wondering, if I activate a new service of two lines with Family Basic 700, is there any chance that I can change the plan to Family Basic 400? Thanks.

T-Mobile Caller ID

Hello Everyone... 🙂

I have a friend who just signed up with T-Mobile. He got a great deal on the Motorola V300. How would he go about changing the name that displays on the caller id of a land line phone that he calls? Is it a setting on the phone or do you have to contact T-Mobile to correct it as you want to?

Thanks All! 😁

7105t exchange?

Last December my son got a 7100t blackberry only for email and instant messaging, no voice plan. IM has NEVER worked and tMobile support gave up trying to fix it months ago as they finally admitted that this was a known problem. I now see where they have released the 7105t. Does this new version fix the IM situation? If so, will they be doing unit swaps?

Poor customer service and coverage led to customer "defection"

I had a customer come to my store today (Cingular in case you don't know me) who left T-Mobile due to 2 reasons:

1. he couldn't use his phone in his apartment, when everyone else in his building with any other carrier could.
2. and when he called customer service to find out his options, he waited to get nothing but the runaround. in his words - "horrible customer service" -he had to spend 45 minutes on the phone to get nowhere - just promises of alleged towers going up near him.

He even went so far as to not even bother porting his number, he cancelled and paid the ETF.

When i explained to him rollover he was upset that he didn't come see us first. (he was talked into t-mob by an ex-girlfriend)

he was totally willing to pay mor...

T-Mobile Coverage Map

Anyone else notice how the street level T-Mobile coverage map has recently got much more aggresive?

Previously the map seemed to be on the conservative side. Anywhere on the map that showed a week signal or even in some cases no signal I could get a signal. Now I notice that suddenly areas that showed marginal coverage are now show good coverage, and areas that before showed no coverage are now showing coverage, even though there really isn't any coverage to speak of. I have a Nokia 6010 which can pretty much pull in any signal if it exists, and now there are plenty of places that T-Mobile is claiming service that there really isn't any. It seems as if they made a decision to basically BS up the map to push sales.

Question

I applied to Cingular to work as a rep, and I have an interview next week. If I am hired, I will cancel my T-Mobile service. Would I still have to pay the ETF?

T-mobile Store Reps

I was wondering what is the average turn around time for a background check. A friend that works at a direct store said it took almost 90 days for his. Which to me doesn't sound right? I've been waiting almost a month now so I was curious if anyone has any idea? Thanks in advance.

Does this sound to good to be true?

This is for all you T-mobile Reps out there. I just purchased a SDKII 10 days ago. I really like it but as I have researched more I hear that T-Mob is coming out with perhaps the next gen in smartphone, HTC Wizard, (Edge; WM5.0) in the next few months. I want to return the SDKII and wait it out and see as I would hate to buy this phone then find it obsolete in 90 days. I just got off the phone with T-Mob Advanced care and the rep told me that should a new phone come out in 2 months 3 months whatever that I could upgrade at a price below new customers as long as I would sign a new contract. It sounds too good to be true. I have her name and # and she says she notated this on my account. I want to know if this is true? All feedback go...

change of account and contract extension

My friend would like to take my number (i.e. the account) so I want to change the ownersehip of the account from me to him. My number is not under any contract now but I heard that, for t-mobile, change of ownership of the account will result in the automatic extesnion of the contract for another year. Is it true? Thanks.

How often does Tmobile run txt msg'ing specials???

I remember an unlimited text messaging special for 6.99 many moons ago.
I finally ported away from ATT/Cingular's craptacular service.
The only good thing about my ATT plan was the free incoming txt msgs. As I had news and weather updates from www.mobile.yahoo.com I got at least 10 a day and sometimes more.

The only thing I'm not liking about Tmobile is the expensive txt messaging option ($14.99 for unlimited msgs) is not for frugal me.

So, how often does Tmobile run specials for txt messaging?

Thanks

Just A Thought

OK! Now I know that all you quick trigger finger boys and gals are just waiting for a guy like me to post something like this so you can get the "man, I got him good" post goin on but,.....
Here's a thought, If a Red Sox fan ran out in the middle of Yankee stadium and screamed "THE YANKS SUCK!!" and continued to do so even though he know that it's just going to cause problems, why does he do that? Honestly I don't see the value in posting things in other carriers forums that you dislike, If you like Verizon, THAT"S GREAT!! I'm happy for you. If you like Cingular, GREAT!! I'm happy for you too. However, you ignorant, inconsiderate people who go into other forums with handles like "VZW4EVA, or CingySucks, or IHATEALLYALL" please note to self...

Opinions please... MDA or Q?

What are the pros and cons between the HTC Wizard (MDA) and the Motorola Q? I am really interested in getting something with great build quality and reception/RF to use as main landline replacement phone, but I would also use it for email and some web browsing...

Here is a recent article about the MDA: http://www.engadget.com/entry/123400083006229 8/
