Motorola V180 explosion

I just saw on the news, that a boy had a Motorola V180 cell phone WITH the original battery, and cel l phone, when it exploded in his pocket and cause SEVERE burns on his left leg. They didn't say if it was a T-Mobile or Cingular branded version but they said Motorola has not commented on this case.

Contract extension

I have extended my service with T-mobile last week. I have been with them for only 14 month and had the 49.99 family plan.

I asked for what they had on the website, motorolla v600 for free. And they said no. So I settled for v300 for the price of 129.99. They did give me a discount of $60 and 6th month free.

Now discovered this form, I am wondering if I've silly to have chosen to extend the contract and take the offer. What is the right way to bargain with T-mobile in the future? Thanks.

Mystery Phone

Okay . . . I just had something really weird happen. I had a customer come in with a Sidekick II who wanted to know when the Sidekick III would be coming out. I told him that I wasn't aware of a Sidekick III being released any time soon - then he proceeded to show me PICTURES of it!

The device was unbranded and he said that he got them from a friend. It was very thin, flipped out sideways, and had a full qwerty keyboard inside. It looked a little like I would think the so-called Razrberry would look. Has anyone else seen anything like this?

Any recommendations on Prepaid service/coverage?

I may be the last person on the Eastern seaboard not to have a cell yet...finally looking at emergency-only prepaid plans. "betterthanjake" talked me out of Virgin in favor of T-Mobile to Go's plan...any other recommendations out there?

I'll only be using it while traveling in L.A., San Diego, suburbs of Chicago and Milwaukee; also Montreal, and occasionally in NYC where I live. How's T-Mobile's coverage? Many thanks, all...

Motorola & T-Mobile: Real Toys Please!!!

I have been with T-mobile for a few years and @ least 2 years with out a contract. When is T-mobile going to step there game up and release/get REAL Motorola toys? I want to leave but im very comfortable with “T”, but im also pissed because the company moves way too slow releasing/getting New Motorola phones. Every New Motorola product “T” releases, I get, only wanting to upgrade 3 months later. Not that there’s anything wrong with the products, but there’s a clear demand, no supply and no choice. So I’m stuck with my phone for like 6 months, only to have the option to buy a mediocre upgrade. (like the V600 & A630) Im TIRED of these tiny screens with less than 2.0 meg.pix cameras. (Ahem…V635) And no offence, that RAZR is not all what its ...

Upgrade Question

In previous posts it has been stated that when upgrading to a new phone after the 11th month of your contract the plan you are on coincides with the price break you get on the phone. My wife and I are on the $39.99 plans, but are #'s are on the same bill. Combined with our features we added, are bill together averages around $120 per month. Would we get a good upgrade price for a new phone, or would we be limited since our actual "plan" per # is $39.99? Thanks in advance for any insight! 😁

What's with TMobile having such plain phones? The only one worth anything was the V600 and now that's gone.

So many plain plastic phones and nothing of substance.

STEP UP TO THE PLATE TMO AND GET WITH THE GAME.....LOVE YA AND ALL BUT HATE YA RIGHT NOW!!

Just won...

A v600 from T-Mobile, or at least I think I did. The caller ID said "Call 1", and I'm pretty sure every other time Tmo has called me it has said that. They had me verify some account info and told me that I was one of 62 people who won a Motorola v600, which is actually kind of cool because I dropped my Samsung r225 and it stopped ringing a couple weeks ago (works fine otherwise, I just have to leave vibrate on), and I was waiting on the v635.

So do any Tmo reps know if this is legit? It seemed so, until I remembered that the v600 has been discontinued. So, is this just their way of getting rid of overstock? Just wanted to check and see if anyone else had heard of it.

Thanks!

A630 questions

1) Can u access the phonebook w/o opening the phone, from the external screen?

If so, can u press like 3, and it will bring u to the D's, and if u press 3 again, it will bring u to the E's?

2) Is the phone comfortable to talk on, w/o the speaker, when its closed?

3) Hows the RF?

4) If you make a call when its open, it activates the speaker right? so if u close it, will speaker still be on, or will it go back to the regular way you talk on a phone?

If it stays on speaker when its closed? is it possible to go back to the other way?

THANKS

free upgrades?

Hello,
does anybody know how you can receive an upgrade free phone if you're an existing customer?
I have a friend who got it from a sales rep in a store, but when I call t-mo customer service they tell me that i need to pay $50 for the upgrade.
By the way, I'm pretty frustrated with t-Mo's representatives, because every time I call they tell me different things. For example, one "knowledgeable" rep told me that the promo of 1000 anytime + unlimited nights and weekends for $46 would be permanent and if I wait 2 months I'd eligible for an upgrade. Well, I waited for 2 months and now neither the promo is there nor the free phone upgrade!
And I've been with them for almost 3 yrs! That's how they nurture their loyal customers!
