phones on backorder.

can any of the care reps here tell me if the samsung x475 is still on backorder or not? i imagine they are but figured i'd ask here before wasting my time calling in.

also, i wanted to say how sad i am that i am now eligible for an upgrade but cannot get the samsung e315 for such a discounted price (only 40 dollars) like my brother did just because i am on a family talk plan of 49.99 per month when he is on an individual plan of only 39.99.

the cheapest that they can offer me this phone is $120 when i am forking over more money per month than he is. (my average bill each month is around $70 with the plan and my unlimited text messages and i pay all but $10 of it which my mom pays for her line which she really doesn't use very often...)...

Thinking of switching to T-Mobile.

I'm planing on canceling my service with Cingular soon due to the fact that I am low on money. However, when I do have money to have a cellphone again I am thinking of either going back to Cingular or joining T-Mobile. I was wondering if anyone can comment of the service, signal strength, phones and anything else that you can think of. Thanks for any info you can give me.

T-Mobile PocketPC Question…

I am considering buying the HP Ipaq 6315, but I hear a lot of speculation about the 6500. I know the 6315 has been out for sometime & it recently got an upgrade from T-mobile. Question, what should I do? Wait? Or Buy…if Buy, why? What makes it better or worse than the 6500? Please help.

No More V635!

As everyone was expecting the Motorola V635 to be offered here in the US, they have taken it off of the Hellomoto.com website for the US, and replaced it with the Motorola V235, which is suppose to be released in the 2nd HALF of 2005. Also, I called up Motorola Customer Care, and they confirmed that it was cancelled, and will not be released for a carrier.

You can still find it online and in some Indirect dealers, but it will not be released for any GSM carrier here in the USA.

The V235 looks like a V600, but has video capture.

can we work with you???

Ok, so this is more of a need to vent some frustration thread, but you have to wonder sometimes what on earth people expect:

So, a retention call is transferred to me today, and heres what the scoop was: This customer had 5 lines, and had been with us since only november of last year. She had 5 V300's and had exchanged 2 of them-once. However, her complaint was that she had nothing but problems with her V300's (go figure) and her friends with other T-Mobile phones worked just fine. So, she went to an indirect dealer who offered to sell her some E315's for $229.99 each. This obviously upset her so she called in, and asked how much cust care could get them for, and was offered them for $169.99/ea with a one year contract. Well, she didn't l...

T-Jingle

I am getting an unlocked Nokia 6230i. I kinda like the T-Jingle that comes with the branded phones. Does anyone know where I can get the ringtone as it sounds on T-Mobile phones?

Nice Wireless Week write up...

T-Mobile Posts Revenue Gain

By Wireless Week Staff

T-Mobile USA added 957,000 net new customers in the first quarter, fewer than the more than 1.1 million it added in the first quarter of 2004, but its revenues rose 27 percent.

Although the carrier did not specify a reason for the downturn in net adds, parent Deutsche Telekom (DT) attributed much of its own first-quarter success to growth in the U.S. wireless market. DT's net profit increased by nearly 60 percent year-to-year.

"We are very pleased with T-Mobile USA's first quarter of 2005 results, which prove the continuing growth potential of the U.S. wireless market," said Rene Obermann, CEO of T-Mobile International and Deutsche Telekom b...

Billing System Upgrade

Team, are you happy with the changes being made with the 6.0 upgrade.
Now unlimited tmob2tmob will be only every network (except for roaming partners in Maine, Colorado, Nebraska and some other states).
We can backdate rate plan changes now to prevent overage and so that our customers aren't pulling a fast one by constantly getting double the minutes for rp changes in the middle of a cycle.
Whaddya think?
