"U" Prepaid service questions
I recently purchased the month-to-month "U" Prepaid service from Alltel, and while calling from Madison, WI, I need to send a number, then I have to dial "1" plus the 10-digit number plus the pound key in order to complete a call. having to dial the # twice is the phone's way of letting you know you are roaming, therefore using mins/bal at twice the normal rate. anytime you leave your "home area" the roaming indic will appear, not necessarily when you're on another carriers network...try a simple *228 or have the phone re-flashed...but in all honesty, you got PREPAY, dont expect the best...
