Does anyone know when this phone may be released? This would be the perfect phone for my parents to upgrade to. If anyone has any info please let me know.

I've had the VX8100 since the week it came out last summer, and I am just trying to be able to use it as an MP3 player now..I've got the mini SD, I activated the MP3 player on the phone and I've put the MP3s on the card, trying both itunes and limewire...The phone still isn't reading any songs on the card, please help!

Anyone know of a way to disable the buttons on the front (just under the Verizon banner) of the VX8300? Seems like I am bumping them all day long and the beeping through my BT headset gets annoying.

I just purchased a new LG8100 phone for my son just like the one that I own. I also got him a 256mb mini SD card like that one that I have in my phone so that he can use the Mp3 player feature on the phone.

We inserted the card into the phone, powered it up and then stuck the card into his computer and drug some songs into the MP3 file on his card.

His phone will not recognize the songs, but we can put the card into my phone and it will recognize them and play them. Is there a step that we are forgetting to do to his phone so that they will play?

The only difference that I can see in the phone is that mine is older and it has the older SW T81VZV04 version of software His phone being newer has the SW Version T81VZV07 software.

Sadly, after two years my LG VX6000 is starting to show signs that it will be dying soon. It is time for me to upgrade anyway, so I decided to look around on the website and see what Verizon had to offer.

I narrowed down my choices between the Motorola Razr V3m and the LG VX8300. I finally decided on he LG because I have read horrible user reveiws of the Razr.

Anyway.. I wanted to know if anyone knew of a way to transfer all of the ringtones I have downloaded from Get It Now to the new LG when I get it. (I have been trying for two days to order it from Verizon's website but it keeps saying they are updating..) I hate to loose all of the ringtones I downloaded over the past two years.. Any suggestions?

I just recently bought a new antenna and replaced the antenna on my LG VX-8100 and it was pretty easy.
1. To start power off and take out battery.
2.There are 3 screws where the battery goes, use a precision phillips head or flat head(I used a flat head, it was smaller) to remove.
3. Then loosen the two screws at the bottom of the phone around where the charger plugs in.
4. Next you have to pry out the two rubber corks at the top of the phone by the antenna. Remove the two screws hidden underneath. You should now have a total of 7 screws.
5. Carefully pop the back casing up slowly and evenly,some of it snaps into place so it feels as if it can't be remove...

Regarding LG VX6100, is there a way to directly download pictures from the phone to the PC or has Verizon made it so you have to use their web site and pay? Thanks.

I've read that in order to get another antenna for the 8100 it has to be compatible with CDMA phones. I found a flashing antenna at daydeal.com that is compatible for my phone. However, I'm not sure how to install it. I know that the original antenna does not screw off. Anyone know how to do this or if a place would do it for me? HELP! I want a flashing antenna since that's the only part of my phone I can see when it's sitting in my purse. Thanks for the help!

For LG phones can you put custom ringers for the people in your phone book? I really want to know cuz i am planning on getting an LG but iw ant to know if i can custiom the ring tones.

What ever happened to the lg VX 5300 with bluetooth for verizon wireless

About a week ago I stepped into a VX 8100 V7 - my old phone was a 8000, which I had loaded with MP3s (cumbersome) and custom ringtones via BITPIM.

In brief, re, 8100, after MP3 activation via menu # 00000 workaround:

1) Phone software via Windows Media Player (WMP)did not allow me to dump MP3s via drag and drop onto my Sandisk 512 MB card WITH the phone hooked up via USB- they definately have this rigged so this so it is difficult - every time it showed a successful sync after drag and drop, the memory card was automatically erased.

2) Error messages were shown in WMP after attempting to pull MP3s into WMP for sync. The error message took me back to Microsoft website detailing that I had to purchase a MP3 to WMA converter - not a b...

i know a little about cell phones but i was wondering if i could get a prepaid service and hook it up on NAM2 and use that number and plan for texting becuase verizon is outragous i was goin to get pagplus probably ! if this is possible please reply and if anyone knows how to do this please let me know

hey everyone! Where can i buy the cable to start downloading my own ringtones??? and does it really work cuz ive tried sending myself pix with music attatched or my mp3 and nothing will let me use my own songs not even if i record it as a voice memo~ i would appreciate tha help

I am very close to buying this phone but I was shocked to read that the 9800 doesnt have individual ringtones. can anyone tell me if it at least has group ringtone or does this phone have only one ring for every contact.

I'm hoping someone will shed some light on this as I'm coming very close to buying this phone with a new verizon contract and really don't want the razr 3vc.
