Does anyone know how to set a schedule alarm to vibrate on the LG VX6100?

i know there have been several posts re: the 4650 data cable and where to buy etc. this ebay seller (http://snipurl.com/h5ri) is selling a CD and cable for $20 with shipping, but then saw elsewhere that i may need 2 CDs (driver CD and software CD). is this true? i'd rather not buy it from the seller if i still need a 2nd CD. i saw the mention of a 2nd CD at http://www.accessorygeeks.com/lg-vx6100-data- cable.html

i just got this new phone...i have had no problems with it...until now. whenever an incoming call comes through, on the caller id the entire number, including the area code, is displayed. all of the numbers in my contact list do not include the area code. this poses a problem for me because the phone does not match the incoming calls to the numbers in my contact list, as one has the area code and the other doesn't. i'd really hate to have to go through and add the area code to every one of my contacts. i didn't have to do this on my old phone. does anyone have any suggestions? any help would be greatly appreciated.

I just recently got this phone from VZW and really like it, however there are three things that I don't care for and was wondering if there was a way to change the settings.

1. There is no 24 hr. clock
2. When I am using the speaker phone or headset, the phone has to be open. My previous phone could talk on the speaker phone and answer calls with it closed (it was a Motorolla).
3. The screen has "Verizon Wireless" written on the screen. Is there a way to get rid of that as well as the "Manner Mode" when it is in vibrate mode. It almost makes wallpaper useless because you can hardly see the picture.

I was just kinda wondering about this problem that i herd with this phone has there been any cases where the phone has not found extended network if yes how was it fixed i currantly have the 8100 and told the vzw dealer about the problem and they said the 8000 had the same problem any help would be great thx

I'm a Cingular Agent in the upper part of NC. I'm originally from VA and I still have family and friends there. I opted to keep my ALLTEL phone for when I go to visit since Cingular doesn't have any coverage in VA (yet?). I've become eligible for an upgrade from my v60x and I'd LOVE to hear what everyone thinks about the VX 5550. I've had a couple of chances to play around with it, but not to make any calls or really get to know it. I like what I've seen so far, but I haven't seen much. I'd love to hear the good and the bad before extending my contract for 2 years and droppin 80 bucks which would normally not be a problem, but I just started my job here and $$'s still kinda tight. My girl friend has the LG 7000 and loves the stock ringer #6 as a txt alert. I've looked all over the phone through qpst and couldn't find the ringers. Does anyone know where they are hiding them??

Hi, I uploaded some ringtones but one of them I decided to get rid of. I can't find any means to delete the ringtones from my phone. Can anyone offer any tips?

In the handbook for this phone is gives directions on how to set a sounds saved in "my sounds" as a ringer, but on the phone its not the same, there is no option to set as ring tone. The only options it gives is: 1.Send,2.To PIX Place,3.Rename,4.Move,5.Lock,6.Erase All,7.Sound Info

I just bought this phone brand new and when I turned it on it displayed "service required",it wont activate and displays no signal, I cannot dial *228 or 611. What the heck could be wrong with the phone,any help would be appreciated.

I have to make a choice between these 2 phones. I am wondering which one seems to be the best ? I am going with Verizon, the 8910 is free and the LG is not, but that is no matter. I am just wondering for overall satisfaction of each phone. thx

Dammit, I just got the word from Radio Shack that LG scrapped the whole release of the 8100 and probably won't even produce it. This SUCKS!!!

I have a "friend" that has had a vx8100 on their desk since friday. It is awesome!!!! we don't know the release date yet but we do know that some phones are scheduled for release on the 11th. We have 10 in stock. our guess is retail price is $299.

Ok, got my USB cable for my VX8000 today, and what I really wanted it for was to play tunes, but when I tried the exact directions, no luck. I was able to load a couple pictures on there with some problems, but now it'll turn off every once in a while - just did it. I hope I didn't mess something up when deleting things...any suggestions?

I can't send a photo to an email address. It shows the progress bar going up to 100% twice and then says "Invalid Destination Address". What does this mean? I've tried sending it to different addresses bur the same thing happens. Any ideas?

After reading most of the posts in the Verizon thread, most (if not all) people feel that anyone considering buying the 8000 to hold off and wait for the 8001 - and those that recently spent $300 - $400 for the 8000 now wish they had waited for the 8001.

Here's my question:

I will be a new Verizon customer shortly (just waiting for my wife's Cingular contract to expire) - in a month or so I could probably get the 8000 for about $80 (perhaps lower once the 8001 is released) - or being a new customer and when the 8001 is released it will probably be offered (I would imagine) for about $200 - $250 (for new customers). Therefore, based on that scenerio which phone should be my first choice?
