CRAZY??? SOMEONE SHED SOME LIGHT!!!!

Ok, in case you don't know, I mentioned in one of my posts that I haven't owned a Moto phone since analog (1G) was the only type of service out there.

So I had Nokias and Samsungs virtually since then, and then I decided to give Moto a whirl. So I get 2 V600 and in the span of a month and a half wind up at Motorola Svc Center getting work on. One cracked and chipped off black plastic from the front faceplate and the other, the camera decided one day to stop working.

(By the way, I went from a Samsung to the Moto and before the Samsung I had a Sony Ericsson T610.)

I just realized that A) this phone has issues and a lot of drama and B) when you look at Samsung or Sony Ericssons Forums they don't have anything like the Moto site has....

V600 battery life?

I removed my phone from its charger saturday morning, having recharged all night, kept it on all day/all night saturday and sunday morning it beeped saying low battery. I only recieved one call (didn't answer it) and made one 5 minute call on saturday. Does this sound normal? I usually use my phone all day then place it on the charger at night. I only had it down to one bar the first couple of days I had the phone when I was playing with it a lot. I thought the standby time was several days?

Chicago and T-Mobile hope...

I sure hope people here are right in saying that T-Mobile will have the phone soon. My contract with Verizon is up on June 22nd and so I plan on switching to T-Mobile since it seems to have the best reception in Chicago. And ofcourse, I'm gonna want this phone. But does anyone have any reason to say that the phone (by that time) will no longer have a sale or anything along those lines? I know this kind of knowledge can be somewhat limited, but I wouldn't be surprised to find that some of you may work at T-Mobile or some just might know it.

Moto Phone Tools

(I did a search on this forum for the answer, but I had a return of over a 1000 mesgs. So i thought I would ask again.)

Has anyone figured out a reason or a solution to the Phone tools only connecting to the phone sometimes? When I first got the tools it worked. But now it never connects and even if I uninstall the whole program and reinstall it, it never connects to my phone and says that it is initializing. Any one have any solutions? I am pretty sure I have the latest version of the phone tools.

Dear Thomas Porter,

Thank you for taking the time to contact T-Mobile. We currently have a tentative launch date of late April/early May for the Motorola V600. Have a great weekend.

If you have any other comments, questions, or concerns, please feel free to contact us. Thank you for choosing T-Mobile.

Sincerely,

Poor AT&T Signal Strength in Chicago.... Help

Ok, let me begin by saying that I'm a cellular novice, to say the least... so when I need answers, I go to the experts.

Here's my problem. I recently purchased a V600, service AT&T, location Chicago. Despite all the rants and raves about how great the reception is, 8-10 times indoors, I can't even get a signal. I've switch phones, hoping that it was a unit error, No luck.

YOUR HELP would be greatly appreciated. What do I do? Unlock the phone and take it to T-Mobile or Cingular? Flash/Flex or what ever the hell that is? Wait a while until the AT&T merger with Cingular? Or scrap the idea and go back to my v8160 with Verizon, continue living in the dark ages, but have a phone that works. Unfortunately, like the rest of you, I don't have 3...

Have terrible reception, any advice?

I live in Omaha, Nebraska and while I like the phone the reception is awful. I typically get 1-2 bars and i've had more dropped calls on this phone than any other i've had.

Are they going to come out with a software upgrade or something to this phone. Is there anyway to get a better antenna or something to boost the signal strenth of the phone? I tried buying the signal enhancer but it didn't work.

I got rid of my v600; nokia 3620 wins!

🙂 Hi All, I just got the Nokia 3620 when my V600 arrived. I tried both and the Nokia won.

Here is why, the Nokia, even with the crippled menu, far out did the Motorola. The Motorola had a nice case, the "flipped" open and shut. That allow a certain amount of chimping. The colored mood light was nice, but again, chimping, not function.

The Nokia's menu system is significantly better. It is far more flexible than Motorola and allows much more user customization. AT & T has expanded the GSM service in our area and I am very happy with that . My old Nokia 3650 lasted 2 days before I went back to TDMA service. We are now here to stay with GSM.

The Nokia 3620 has some nice features. The Bluetooth is nice with the Jabra 250. I ...

FOUND A BUG with V600

This is the first real problem i have had with the V600.....can u guys try it out and lemme know if u found the same problem....

If you have a ringer ID set to a specific person....(for example, one of your friends), and your phone is on VIBRATE.....get them to send your a text message. For my phone, i have ringer ID's set for some people, and even when my phone is on Vibrate, the phone first vibrates, then plays the selected ringer ID for that person when they send me a text message.

P.S...YES, in the settings for vibrate, i have the message alert tone as vibe, AND I HAVE THE RINGER IDS OFF!!...wtf....

Let me know your you guyz have the same problem.
