Just happened to come across this... The SCH-A670 product info. is now available on Samsung's website. I haven't checked there in a while, so I'm not sure if it is newly posted, although I believe so.

Looks to me like good news. I'm looking to get this phone as soon as it is released (which I'm hoping will be 6/15 as some others had mentioned). 🙂

Does anyone know how i can unlock and use the Sprint version A680 on VERIZON WIRELESS? Verizon rep said they will try to activate it for me. But i wonder if they will be able to. Anyone have any ideas?

I dont know if this will help but in wisconsin the radio shack comercil has the guy with glass holding it up to his ear!dont no if this is a good sign or not

which of the 4 video phones r coming out first, and to this date, incl ALDCONS posts etc, I havent had a satisfying answer.Originally I guess it was supposed to b the 9900 in early april, but as of today Apr25, no one, anywhere on phonescoop or howards forum has the answer.I guess its a Vegas style horse race. at that forum swears by it. This may b the best of the upcoming VZW phones but gee, are we gonna be swamped w 6 new phones in a month period. The 810 is already out on ebay so will b out VZW in a week or so but the others.Can u imagine if the 670,7000,8000,9900,710 all show up in May/June? WOW

The way ive noticed things with verizon phones is , They come out a year later.!!! No point waiting for this phone. By the time it comes out a new one will be on PHONESCOOP and youll start the same argument again!!!

I had a samsung rep in my store today and he let me use his 670 demo phone!! It is small and takes very clear pictures--you can also take a pic with the flip closed!! He said it will be out in May definately before june to compete with audiovox 9900 and motorola 810!! No price as of yet he said that is for VZW to determine.

The only thing that I know, is that it will be out before the end of August, more than likely. VZW is implementing the 1xEVDO this summer (late) and that will be the quicker download than the 1xRTT. So any phone with 1xRTT will more than likely be out before the end of August, early September

I read your post on the a650 site, that you got to play with the a670, a650 v710 and a few others. Did you by any chance play with the new audiovox 9900 if so how does it compare to the a670. These are the 2 fones that Im really waiting to comeout, but unless they are released simultaneously, Ill probably get whichever comes out first..until one is proved to be superior. and how in comparison to some of the other phones coming out how would you rate the a670.
PS- I believe the answer is no, but does it have a speakerphone. 😕

I guess the vzw delay has struck again 😳, causing noone to have any interest in talking about a great phone...that will be released out of date.

Is this phone ever going to shop up at Verizon. Its been in the talks for a while now, but still not action. Also, does anyone know why Verizon is not carrying any Sanyo phones. They have really great options, and personally I think they look a whole lot better then the LG or motorola phones that Verizon wireless currently offers, so what gives.

P.S. Any idea on price and battery life once this phone, does come out.
