This phone cannot send Video message..

Ok, I have been using the 670 for about a week..

I am not impressed with the battery life at all.

The A530 with the standard batter was better.. I am a bit concerned. Seems the incredibly bright screen is what is doing it. You can't lower the brightness of the screen. I have turned off the Led indicator which should help a bit and it still is not great. Seems to maybe get about 120 mins of talk time.. Yikes..

The phone otherwise is totally awesome. The call quality and reception is top notch.

The only other problem I am having is I had Verizon move my names from my 530 to the 670. I cant delete any of those names. When I try to delete the phone reboots..

Also, it only holds 500 total entries. The 530 help 1000..

Hey everyone. I have a question about the A670. Can you send and receive "talking pictures?" On the verizon website, it said the phone can only RECIEVE (EMS). I would assume it would do both if it can also receive video messages which are obviously newer.
I would apprecite any help on these subjects!

does anyone know if you can put AOL instant Messanger on the sch a670??? I just it and its really hott but i was AIM, does anyone know if and how you can put it on your phone?

Does the phone book on this phone allow you to search with using more then one character.
For instance, if you have 20 people with the first letter of their name A, and you dont want to scroll through the whole list, can you enter the A, and then an I and etc.. to narrow down your search.
In addition, how does the speaker indepenent system work, and is there a limit to how many you can use of those to dial phone numbers or names in your phone book.

How many pictures can this phone hold??...as much as the 610? (100 in med. resol)...i know it can hold 2, 12 sec vids...

I was looking into getting the Samsung SCH-a610 or the Samsung SCH-A670 for verizon. Does it have the abitlity to take pictures and use them as caller id pictures. EX- say John called could I have taken a picture of John before and see his face on the screen when he calls. The Samsung SCH-a610 model also only has the one main screen.. are there any other phone supported by verizon that have another small LCD on the outside that could do the same caller id picture funcion. I hope since i am new i haven't offended anyone or broken any rules (like posting in the wrong forum).. so please don't flame me if i have.

I know alot of you probably have had a chance to play with the actual phone a little. I was lucky yesterday and a friend of mine at Verizon pulled the phone from the back. He made me go kind of to the side to look at it though. The phone is sweet. The only thing that it lacks is a speaker phone (for those who that feature is important to) functioning video messaging. I don't know what the point is in being able to video for 2 12 seconds videos each unless you can send them. The screen is most impressive it's very bright and clear like the 610. The sub LCD is in color as we all know. The tech showed me the caller ID photo the cool thing was it was on the sub LCD. The phone is also dark charcoal like the 610. Hi, just just upgraded to the 670 after brief ownership of the 650 - like night and day. Does anyone know if it's possible to store the address (cell #) of individuals that you constantly send TXT messages to - rather than having to go to the Phonebook/Contacts every time you send a message?

why is iowa last for everything. I called verizon today and they said a couple of days, does anyone know why.
are they gettin them for sure.
does anyone know when the global samsung gsm phone is gonna be out, i think its the 790.i thougt it was today, but havent seen it.

I guess I getting a bit excited about a phone that hardly has anything more than my A530, but it's new and it's samsung..

I do liek them very much. Their Voice Quality is usually good and reception on the 530 is incredible.

I remember playing with the 670 at the CES show and I think I liked the text entry fields to be much longer than the 12 Characters on the 530 which are very annoying.

Also the menu was cool.. The video is primative but okay to play with. I remember the ringers to be good also.

I guess we can go and get them Tuesday I hope. Some stores are jerky about putting them out.

What I really need to know is the batter connector the same as the 530 ?? Or do we need new cords ?
