Is it activated?

When they ship the phone is it already activated because i need to switch phones with my mom who's contract just ended. So thats the only way i can get the phone.

it shouldn't be. Imagine if it fell into the wrong hands - ouch!

activate it by calling *228 and follow the prompts. easy as pie
